Elzaam filly, half-sister to a winner over similar trips. Dam a winner over the extended 7f and sister to a 7f winner. Well beaten on both her career starts and more needed here.
Far from disgraced on debut at Naas over 6f when beaten 5¾L into ninth after a slow start before disappointing at Cork earlier this month.
Filly by Most Improved out of a Xaar mare. Half-sister to French winner Tremont. No signs of ability in runs at Tipperary and Gowran Park already this month and likely one for handicaps.
April foal and tongue-tie already fitted on debut. By War Front out of a Sadler's Wells mare. Shaped with purpose on second start at Naas (first turf run) to finished fourth over 6f. Up in distance, which looks the way to go.
Dansili mare, out of a winning daughter of Sadler's Wells. Fair credentials on paper for familiar connections and needs a close look.
Home-bred Vocalised filly has failed to get in any sort of telling blow in two runs at Naas and over a mile here so far. Needs plenty more to take a leading role.
Exceed and Excel, her dam has produced multiple winners including at Group-race level. Yard have been quiet of late.
Camelot filly, related to a number of winners and could be a capable sort. Trainer capable of having her primed for this first racecourse outing.
Dandy Man filly, makes limited appeal on paper and trainer without a two-year-old winner in 2018, others preferred.
Filly out Australia, related to winners from 6f to 1m4f. Some promise on debut here over a mile this month, having looked likely to come on for the run.
Mastercraftsman filly, sister to a winner and half-sister to four more. Dam a winner over 1m1f. Ran with credit on debut, shaping like she needed the run. May do better.
New Approach filly, related to a Group 1 winner. Dam a 1m winner and half-sister to a winner. Some promise on debut run here this month over a mile, though backwards step since at Gowran Park down to 7f.
Second newcomer in these colours in the line-up, half-sister to the trainer's Listed winner Variable (amongst others winners) and requires some scrutiny in the betting.
Cheap yearling. Dam unraced and she finished stone last in big-field Naas maiden (5½f, yielding) this month having gone off a 100/1 chance.
Slade Power newcomer is half-sister to an ordinary 1m1f winner out of a dam successful at up to 1m6f. Trainer not noted for juveniles and nothing in two runs to merit support for this one.
Galileo filly out of a Holy Roman Emperor mare related to Frankel, Australia. Didn't achieve much in two June maidens at this track (7f, good to firm) and Naas (6f, good to firm). Needs more after a layoff, capable of improving.
Forecasts
Racine (7/4), Morpho Blue (4/1), Happen (5/1), Kaftan (11/2), Tracing (12/1), Lady Wannabe (16/1), Mallacoota (25/1), Lady Cedar (25/1), Lyrical Attraction (25/1), National Identity (33/1), Cosmic Jazz (40/1), Kitchen Duty (66/1), Seafield (66/1), Aneczka (100/1), Guiding (100/1), Ruby's Joy (100/1)
Any strong support behind Racine would be worth noting, given he's a half-brother to a Listed winner for these connections and makes appeal on paper. The pick on form is likely Happen, one of two here for Ballydoyle, but MORPHO BLUE shaped nicely enough on debut and the impression she would improve for that run. Jessica Harrington's charge might prove up to taking the opener.
- Morpho Blue
- Racine
