Newcomer by Phoenix Reach cost just £1200 as a yearling. Sister to a 1m-1m1f winner including at two but hard to fancy for a yard without a two-year-old winner this season.

Similar level of form in three starts to date with fourth at Doncaster, fifth at Kempton and fourth again at Lingfield latest. Step up from that level needed but does have fair place claims.

Outran 100/1 odds on debut at Yarmouth when sixth of 11 but only beaten 2¾L. Yard's two-year-olds slow to come to hand so sure to step up but this likely a stronger contest so still plenty to find.
Little encouragement in two starts to date with a remote 10th of 11 on debut at Haydock before she finished tamely into eighth at Chelmsford latest. Much more needed.

€52,000 sales purchase in the Spring is a daughter of Helmet and half-sister to two winners both successful as juveniles. Yard does well with two-year-olds and can ready them on debut so market check advised.

Similar efforts in her two starts to date, finishing fourth in each (6f Windsor and 7f Lingfield). Weakened quite rapidly in each and that the doubt especially with the stiff finish here.

Newcomer by Poet's Voice cost 42,000gns as a yearling out of a 1m½f AW winner from a decent middle-distance family. Trainer has his share of first-time out two-year-old winner so worth a market check.

Stoutly bred Delegator filly was never nearer than her eventual finishing position of seventh (of 11) on debut at Kempton (AW) over a surely inadequate 6f. Extra 1f will help and has place possibilities now.

Built on debut fourth at Newbury when second at Lingfield on the AW when stepped up to 7f. Looked like winning for a long while there before being headed late on. That form rock solid and has a big chance here.

Made the frame in all three starts with third at Chelmsford followed by second at Newbury, both over 7f. Missed a couple of months before third at Lingfield over 1m. Drop back to 7f not ideal but realistic contender here.

Forecasts

Tronada (5/2), Stay Forever (5/2), Fleursals (7/2), Poetic Era (15/2), Petits Fours (17/2), Garrel Glen (16/1), Louisiana Beat (20/1), Bolt N Brown (66/1), Sherella (100/1), Light Of India (125/1)

Verdict

Not the strongest contest by any means this and a good opportunity for STAY FOREVER to open her account after her good second last time out at Lingfield in a race every bit as strong as this. Tronada rates the biggest danger having placed in all three races and she may strip fitter now given her last run was after an 81-day break. It would be no surprise to see debutants involved in the finish of a race lacking quality in depth and Poetic Era is the most appealing.
  1. Stay Forever
  2. Tronada
  3. Poetic Era
