Cost 150,000 gns as a yearling and returned the first chunk of the repayments with a gutsy win at Windsor last month. This trip is ideal and the son of Declaration Of War has sound claims of at least making the frame if coping with the penalty.
Won a bumper at Lingfield on his racecourse debut but things haven't panned out for him over jumps since; no doubt about his stamina his stamina for the switch to the Flat but he betting can guide as to expectations held for success.

A well-bred individual that is progressing nicely enough to suggest a middle distance handicap could be his for the taking somewhere along the line. Qualifies for a mark after this and is worth keeping tabs on. Has a bit to prove on AW debut.

Another highly interesting product of the Darley breeding sheds, the son of Tamayuz caught the eye in defeat on debut over C&D. Was doing his best work at the finish and likely to have learned plenty. Sound claims if taking another step forward.

Plenty of experience over hurdles (won here over 2m in May) but held by Celtic Chieftain on debut on the Flat last month. Still remains to be seen if she has the speed to cope over this distance though.

Unraced son of Teofilo; cost 100,000 gns and is related to some useful types in the States. Interesting contender for a race like this and not unduly tested in terms of quality opposition on his racecourse debut.

Cost 140,000 gns as a two-year-old, and showed improvement from his debut when second at Haydock last time out. No chance with the winner on that occasion but still comfortably held the rest. Sound place claims at least here.

Moderate efforts twice in France and difficult to assess what he's achieved up until now. Best watched.

Out of a half-sister to St Leger winner Brian Boru, so obviously bred to cope with at least this sort of distance. Yard doing very at present this fellow has to merit respect despite his lack of experience. Worth considering.

Cost 115,000 gns as a yearling but looked awkward here on debut last month. Settled as the race went on but was never a factor and didn't show enough to merit considering for a win only punt on this occasion.

Daughter of Delegator out of a dam who won over 2m, the filly made an inauspicious start at Chelmsford in March; off since then and has a lot to prove.

Cost 105,000 gns as a yearling; the daughter of Sea The Stars has shaped with promise. Solid effort over this trip at Chelmsford last time brings her into the thick of the reckoning. Looks the more interesting of the stable's two intended runners.

Beat just two horses to the finish line on debut over an extended 1m2f here earlier in the month. big improvement required.

Verdict

SILVER RIVER posted a very encouraging effort on he belated debut and can put that experience to good use. The gelding obvious needs to make up for lost time but has already proved he can go close at least this level. Early Summer is another that is going the right way and, given that she gets the fillies allowance, she has a reasonable chance at the weights. Lissitzky, on the other hand, has a penalty to cope with and needs to be at his best to give weight away to the rest. He would do well to fend off the likes of Guardsman in a scrap for one of the places.
  1. Silver River
  2. Early Summer
  3. Guardsman
