Yet to add to maiden success here but pretty consistent since and returned well from a break when a solid enough second at Chelmsford. Should be involved, however didn't look convincing in the finish.

Back to sole winning handicap mark but has really struggled in her last three starts and others look more convincing at present.

12-race maiden who shaped with promise on her latest run at Sandown and worth this step up in trip. However well beaten on all four previous visits here that leaves doubts.

Maiden after eight starts and has struggled in two efforts since returning from a year off the track. Stamina to prove up in distance and plenty of improvement required.

Front-runner who gained a third career success but struggled off 5lb higher in a stronger grade over this C&D and unsuited by the step up to two miles at Lingfield. Suited by return to this class but others better handicapped.

Maiden who hasn't progressed from French debut when with David Smaga. Well beaten in both runs here for new stable and remains best watched.

Won a maiden for Dean Ivory but has finished tailed off in last on both runs for new trainer. Needs wind surgery to turn things around and others preferred.

10-race maiden who has generally struggled and was well beaten over this C&D following a 530-day absence. Needs to find significant improvement.

Gained a second career win when scoring off 5lb lower over this C&D and ran to a similar level off revised mark at Wolverhampton when attempting to make all. Likely to be involved again.

Has finished in the top three 15 times from 24 career starts while still remaining a maiden. Well beaten last four runs including on latest return from an absence and hard to make a case for at present.

17-race maiden under both codes and has been well beaten in all five hurdle runs since joining this stable. Remains easy to overlook on this return to the Flat.

Won back-to-back races over this C&D back in January and now down to the last winning mark. Had been struggling before absence and ran very poorly on return. Could come on for the run but looks unconvincing at present.

Dance Me12
Age: 3|  Weight: 9-2| J: David Egan| T: S Kirk| OR:  59
11/2
14-race maiden who was better than recent form when upped to 1m2f but didn't look overly convincing when hanging late. May be more to come up in distance but a bit to find.

Forecasts

Howardian Hills (9/2), Intermodal (9/2), Retribution (5/1), Dance Me (11/2), Kerrera (8/1), Genuine Approval (14/1), Alcanar (16/1), Delicate Kiss (16/1), Prerogative (16/1), Ilhabela Fact (20/1), I'm Running Late (25/1), Iley Boy (33/1), Woofie (40/1), Sehayli (66/1)

Verdict

A tricky race where most of the runners hold doubts for one reason or another and therefore it may be best to stick with the uncomplicated HOWARDIAN HILLS who will enjoy the return to this track, is in-form and will be suited by getting on the pace in a big field. Genuine Approval also likes to get to the front and is well suited by conditions. Intermodal should be competitive again but like Dance Me isn't convincing at the business end.
  1. Howardian Hills
  2. Genuine Approval
  3. Intermodal
