Bounced back to form in no uncertain terms when running all over his rivals at Newbury last time when the rain came in time. Will be doing a rain dance once again here and is up 6lb. Career best needed.

Only had two starts so far this year, one in Meydan and then over this trip at Newmarket back in May. Returns here from a five-month break on a pretty attractive mark (Listed winner) but fitness needs to be taken on trust.

Went close at Ffos Las off 2lb lower two starts back. Ran as well as can be expected in a Group 3 at Newbury last time and will appreciate these calmer waters.

Shock winner of the Queen's Prize at Kempton at odds of 50/1 on his return from an 18-month absence in April. Beaten a long way on all three starts since however and hard to trust at present.

Progressive in winning four of his last six including at Newmarket on his seasonal reappearance but very disappointing off this revised mark when last seen in June over this C&D. Needs to bounce back.

Lightly raced four-year-old who was having his first run since May at Newbury when second to Temple Church last time. Good pull in the weights with that rival and should strip fitter now. Has sound claims of going well.

Not been in the best of form of late and well held in the German St Leger last time. Drop back to 1m4f may well help and is starting to look attractively handicapped. Market check very much needed.

Shaped well on first start for five-months at Newmarket over this trip 17 days ago. Should strip fitter now and this progressive four-year-old could have more to come. Respected.

Returned for a 12-month absence to score at Newmarket in August; held by Seafarer when below par last time, but could bounce back. Will need to from 7lb higher than that win.

Beautifully-bred colt who has won his last two starts in novice company over 1m2f at Windsor and Newcastle. Disappointed on handicap debut at Ascot in what looked a hot race. Could still be plenty to come and very much respected.

Best effort to date was when winning decisively at Newmarket (1m5f, good to firm) in June. Has looked a little one-paced over further than this the last twice which makes this drop in trip a slight worry.

Verdict

Temple Church put up a career-best when winning at Newbury last time and connections will be hoping the rain comes again up 6lb here. Now Children should be better for his recent return and is respected. Dubawi Prince disappointed last time but should be capable of further progress. Ashington is on a large upward curve and should be in the mix once more. The short-list is completed by MIDI who disappointed on handicap debut at Ascot last time but that looked a hot race for the grade and he can regain the winning thread once again.
  1. Midi
  2. Dubawi Prince
  3. Ashington
