Made all when winning under a positive ride at Brighton (6f, good to firm) in June, but slowly away from a 6lb higher mark at Windsor next time so unable to repeat the trick; makes his AW debut off a two month break.

A regular winner at the southern-based turf tracks over the years (including Bath and Goodwood), but not so good in 2018, and switched to the AW of late; finished 2½L second to Fantasy Justifier at Wolverhampton (6f) on Friday.

Runner-up over 7f here on his final start for Mark Johnston in July 2017, but has plummeted in the weights (with good reason) since joining John Butler for 22,000gns; could feasibly improve for a recent run.

Dead-heated for second place when finishing 2L behind the winner Two Seas over C&D in September; well positioned for adopting her usual front-running tactics in stall 2.

Back on a handy mark, and looked to have the race in the bag at Newcastle (6f) last week before being run down by Supaulette. Every chance of going one better over a C&D he's won at previously (in 2013) for Sir Michael Stoute.

Mister Maestro107
Age: 3|  Weight: 9-4| J: G Mosse| T: E Walker| OR:  60
4/1
Six-race maiden; has left the care of Richard Hannon following a very tame effort at Chepstow (1m) in June; has an AW pedigree (half-brother to a couple of 1m synthetics scorers); risky.

Seven-race maiden; excuses on her debut for this trainer at Wolverhampton (7f) recently, but equally didn't appear to be overly progressive for her previous trainer Richard Hannon.

33/1
€300,000 yearling who showed limited promise in 5f-6f AW novice events for Clive Cox before a dismal handicap debut at Bath in June (firm); hood applied on first start for Mick Channon, presumably in a bid to curb her keen-going tendencies.

Eight-race maiden; tough to enthuse over either of her performances (6f-7f) since a return to action following a mid-season break; avoid.

No encouragement to draw from any of his first four outings, but improved markedly when a 50/1 runner-up at Salisbury (6f, good to firm) latest; tongue-tied for AW debut, but can he back that form up with another pleasing run?

Poor win ratio (1-20) and has consistently came up short on turf dropping down the weights from a mark of 76 in May 2017 to his current perch of 57.

Forecasts

Duke Cosimo (11/4), Mister Maestro (4/1), Kingsley Klarion (9/2), Chica De La Noche (5/1), Babyfact (8/1), My Society (10/1), Coastal Cyclone (14/1), Pushkin Museum (20/1), Jane Rose (25/1), It's A Wish (33/1), Harrison Stickle (33/1), Little Miss Lilly (40/1)

Verdict

DUKE COSIMO looked like winning at Newcastle last week (6f), but for probably hitting the front a fraction earlier than ideal (had travelled well throughout), and was caught deep inside the final furlong by the progressive Tim Easterby-trained Supaulette. Turned out quickly from a most attractive mark, he is strongly fancied to make amends at a track where he's won previously (in 2013) for former trainer Sir Michael Stoute. An each-way alternative is the likely pace-setter Chica De La Noche.
  1. Duke Cosimo
  2. Chica De La Noche
  3. Harrison Stickle
