Only win since his maiden success in 2015 came in a selling race at Redcar last year. Showed very little in four starts for Tony Coyle and opposable on first start for his new yard now. Wears a first-time tongue-tie.
Rattled off a hat-trick on his final three starts of 2017. Hasn't been at that level of form this campaign and has a wide draw here but his run over C&D last time was a little more promising. Wears first-time cheekpieces.
Belatedly got his head back in front at Chester in July. Previous C&D winner and obviously still well-handicapped on old form but he needs everything to drop right and wide draw not ideal here.
Shown nothing in three starts for his new yard and has never won on turf. Wide draw not ideal and readily opposed.
Got his head back in front at Ayr last time out, gaining his first win on turf in 26 starts. Wide draw and hold up style not as well suited to this test though and others make more appeal.
Yet to win for this yard but had been in good form before a poor effort last time out when tailed off at Beverley. Capable off this sort of mark but quite possibly better over 7f and yet to win on turf.
Impressive when winning at Wetherby on his second career start but form has completely tailed off of late. Hard to fancy in current form.
C&D winner who got back in the winners' enclosure last time out at Hamilton. 6lb higher here but in good form and capable of going well.
Has just one win in 11 starts but that did come over C&D back in April. Hasn't been in the same form twice since but just 2lb above her winning mark as a result and no surprise to see her bounce back.
Course winner over 6f earlier in the campaign but that's his only career win and he's been well beaten on many of his outings since. Wide draw to contend with and others preferred.
Still a maiden after seven starts and shown nothing in three outings for this yard. Very tough to make a case for.
Won a maiden on debut at Doncaster but hasn't won a race in 10 subsequent outings. Has shaped with some promise for this yard on occasions but well beaten last time out and drop back in trip not certain to suit.
Has been struggling to get competitive since joining this yard and still winless on turf. Has to race from out of the handicap and others make more appeal.
C&D heavy ground winner towards the end of last year but she's been in poor form this time around and hard to fancy in current form.
Just one win from 14 starts to her name but starting to look very well-handicapped. Not disgraced last time on ground she may have found too testing and can't be ruled out with De Sousa taking over.
Forecasts
Candelisa (5/2), Edgar Allan Poe (5/1), Pioneering (7/1), Apple Anni (7/1), Shazzab (10/1), Fisher Green (12/1), Newmarket Warrior (14/1), Bezos (16/1), Symposing (16/1), Ronnie The Rooster (20/1), Jo's Girl (25/1), Gabrial's Kaka (25/1), Radjash (50/1), Etikaal (66/1), Inaam (66/1)
Plenty of these arrive out of form and it might be worth chancing the well-handicapped APPLE ANNI with Silvestre De Sousa riding her for the first time. Edgar Allan Poe is one of only two last time out winners in the line up and has course and distance form to his name while Gabrial's Kaka has a race such as this in him from his current mark.
- Apple Anni
- Edgar Allan Poe
- Gabrial's Kaka
