Will have disappointed connections in a series of below-par displays since May. Generally, well held over hurdles and on the level and difficult to make a case for here.

Well down the field in a number of desolate performances since debut last month over a variety of distances. Unlikely to be playing a part in the finish.

Solid and consistent without winning in a number of starts over 1m2f and 1m3f since April. Can be forgiven a disappointment at Ballinrobe latest.

Never a factor in either finish here over 1m2½f in March and April, well beaten on both occasions. Market likely to be the best guide here.

Regular here and has been an admirable servant to connections, perhaps not the force of old but rated 6lb lower than when scoring over C&D in November and liable to give his running.

Verdict

Dual C&D winner BLACK LABEL can notch his third win here with the adept Ben Coen in the saddle. The seven-year-old can hold off the possibly challenge of the John Oxx-trained Velsen and fellow C&D winner Schoolboy Error. Newlyn can go well at a price while note should be taken of Conquest if getting in to the race.
