7f Doncaster novice winner was a little disappointing on handicap debut on AW but ran a solid race latest back on turf when beaten a neck at Thirsk. Upped 3lb but still on the up and merits maximum respect for a yard which does well here.

Whacked with a 10lb penalty for winning a four-runner Redcar contest by 5L and has struggled since beating just one rival in next two races. Has 4lb back now but still suspect she's high enough.

Moderate strike rate but won on penultimate start on the July course over 7f. Raised 5lb for that and was eighth of 18 next at Doncaster when dropped back to 6f. Same mark today and will prefer this trip but only minor appeal overall.

Model of consistency this season and has won twice at Wolverhampton (AW) and Leicester. Followed Leicester success up with another good run latest when second at Doncaster. Same mark here so every chance she's in the shake-up once again.

Good second when last seen in a handicap on the July course behind a filly who has won again since but struggled herself in Listed contests the next twice. This more her level and makes plenty of appeal off this mark and jockey booking notable.

First-time handicapper probably beat very little when winning in a canter at Yarmouth latest in a four-runner contest but hard not to be impressed with ease in which she won. Much tougher now but open to plenty of improvement.

Unplaced in two turf starts to date but arrives in good form having landed back-to-back AW handicaps at Wolverhampton and Lingfield. Handicap rising and faces a tougher ask now back on turf but can't be ruled out.

Dual winner last season not added to that tally this year but ran well latest when a close fourth at Sandown despite being too fresh after a three-month absence. Better to come now perhaps but may want step up to 1m soon.

Won on this course back in May over 1m but not added to that since. Best run since in penultimate start over 6f at Ffos Las before too keen latest under apprentice rider at Salisbury. Has ability to go well off this mark.

Gained second success of the campaign latest when battling to success at Sandown over this trip. 3lb rise gives her a career high mark but it doesn't look beyond her so is respected once again in this very open contest.

Built on promise of first three starts when winning as an odds-on favourite should at Wolverhampton (AW) latest. Equally as effective on turf and merits respect here on handicap debut with a nice racing weight.

String together three good pieces of form now and followed up Chepstow success with a close third of nine at Sandown off today's 2lb higher mark. This may demand more but she arrives in good form nevertheless.

Verdict

A very open contest this and there are few if any who can safely be dismissed altogether. The vote goes to Ryan Moore's mount TIME TO EXCEED who was narrowly touched off here on the July Course before finding Listed races in Ireland and Germany beyond her the last twice. Right Direction is certainly among the biggest dangers and she has a progressive profile and remains open to further improvement. Crafty Madam ran well after a break latest and looks a big player now also with fitness likely boosted.
