C&D Listed winner in May (good ground) hasn't added to that since but decent efforts at Deauville (third) and Windsor (fourth) last twice in Group Three contests represent similar level of form. Vulnerable under a 3lb penalty but will go well.

Three-time winner, the most recent at Windsor in May (1m2f). Ran well penultimately in a C&D handicap when second before a lesser effort latest at Doncaster. First try at pattern level demands a career best.

Winner here over 1m4f in penultimate start, her second start for this yard before shade disappointing fourth of six next at Windsor. First try at stakes level and awful lot to find on official ratings.

Lightly raced dual five-year-old has only raced twice this season and returns here from a lengthy absence during which she has had a wind-op. Unplaced in all six stakes races to date and layoff further concern.

Two seconds at this level this season including to St. James's Palace winner Without Parole at Sandown. Latest run at Pontefract disappointing as favourite but given a break since and now tongue-tied. Best form would give him a great chance here.

Group Two winning juvenile whose highlight this season was second to the outstanding Alpha Centauri at Royal Ascot. Not matched that form in four races since although heavy ground an excuse latest. Big chance here at the pick of her form.

Verdict

As Listed races go this is pretty ordinary and it represents a good opportunity for GABR to gain a first stakes success with his seconds at this level at Sandown and Newmarket this year probably both representing form good enough to take this. Threading has lost her way a little but her best form would be more than good enough to take a hand in this and her yard's horses often spring back to life when least expected. Spark Plug and First Sitting are the best of the older brigade with slight preference for the former with First Sitting carrying a 3lb penalty.
