Appeared to be a mildly progressive filly when winning for the second time (on handicap debut) at Doncaster in July (1m4f, good to firm), but has failed to fully see out the trip in her most recent races.

Verdict

Not a deep race at all by Newmarket standards, so the handicap debutante and recent Brighton winner Hameem must be strongly considered. However, a marginal preference is for the Luca Cumani-trained SAVING GRACE. Her progress has undeniably stalled of late (not seeing out her races), but it's perfectly fair to point out that one of those was a Class 2 handicap over an extended 1m5f trip. Based upon her early career form, she'd be much closer in the betting to the likely favourite, and therefore rates as the value play.
  1. Saving Grace
  2. Hameem
  3. Tarte Tropezienne
