Scored over this trip (good to soft) at Thirsk in novice company in July. Faced a tough task at York last time. Back down in trip, he looks to be on a fair mark for this nursery debut. Claims.
Distance winner at Hamilton (good to firm) in a novice auction event in May. Best nursery effort came from this mark at York, when beaten just a short head. Has had tougher assignments of late, but very interesting at this level with 7lb claimed.
0-8 but has gone close a couple of times, including here in July and at Carlisle last time out (good to soft). Up 4lb for that, so more needed, but 7lb also claimed and not ruled out.
Went very close over C&D (good) on debut in June. Has not been able to go on from there just yet. Now begins in nurseries and looks to have been treated fairly on this 3lb lower mark that originally assessed. Should be thereabouts.
Has posted three similar efforts in novice events over this trip. Initial mark a little on the stiff side considering that form, so perhaps best watched this time unless market particularly speaks for her.
Showed a bit or promise in novice events and ran well for a long way over Carlisle's stiff 5f (good to soft) last time. Still early days, so may be capable of better, and will need to be to win from 2lb lower.
Landed a claimer over C&D (good to firm) in July, when sporting first-time cheekpieces. Has marginally bettered that twice since, but more needed again after another 2lb upward nudge for a narrow defeat at Chelmsford last time.
Not yet showing many signs of significant improvement, but has only had one crack at a nursery and ran well to be a 2½L third at Wolverhampton (6f, AW) last time. 2lb drop is positive for her chance, but more needed back over 5f.
0-7 for Tom Clover, here best efforts being over this trip on fast ground. Drops 2lb for this second nursery start, her first for this trainer, whom she has joined since her last run. More needed, but could see some improvement.
Ran several good races in nurseries before breaking his duck at the tenth attempt at Ffos Las (5f, good) last week. Held under a penalty last time and from 8lb higher than that success, he needs improvement.
Scored at Beverley (5f, good to firm) in May, in a claimer, when trained by Amy Murphy. Back at that level when beaten just 1L at Ayr (5f, good) in nursery debut last month. Below that form latest and more needed from just 1lb lower.
Forecasts
Valentino Sunrise (4/1), Essenza (9/2), Free Love (8/1), Kalissi (8/1), Raypeteafterme (8/1), Jill Rose (9/1), Amazing Alba (9/1), March For Men (10/1), Big Ace (12/1), Heartstring (16/1), One One Seven (25/1)
Not a strong nursery and RAYPETEAFTERME might be good enough to defy top weight in it. Declan Carroll's colt looks fairly treated for his first run in this sphere and this is easier than his latest tough assignment. Big Ace enters calculations and with Essenza, while Amazing Alba is not ruled out and Free Love could begin to show some improvement.
- Raypeteafterme
- Big Ace
- Essenza
