Dandy Man filly was well backed and justified market support when winning easily on debut at Newcastle (AW) first time out over this trip. Carries a penalty for that so task gets tougher but she's clearly a filly with potential.

Newcomer by Sepoy sent unsold as a yearling. Dam was an ordinary 5f AW winner. Trainer not really known for two-year-old success so on paper she looks best watched.

Scat Daddy half-sister to smart 7f/1m winner Encipher and useful 1m1f/1m2f winner Respect Me, and cost $150,000 as a yearling. Yard won this race last year and do exceptionally well with two-year-olds so very much on the shortlist.

Well related Dansili filly showed ability when 5½L fifth of 11 on debut at Windsor in late July. Given time since and extra 1f should suit but quite a step up needed to feature.

Kingman filly shaped well after a slow start when fourth of 10 at Newmarket, and probably unsuited by drop in trip when second as favourite next at Brighton. Has among the best form and should play a leading role.

82,000gns yearling by Nathaniel is half-sister to a 6f winner including as a juvenile and at Group Three level lately. Yard not known for two-year-old success and sire's progeny seem to excel at three.

Gregorian newcomer is half-sister to four winners at distances from 5f-1m4f. Yard not prolific with two-year-olds much less debut makers so best watched for now.

Newcomer by Foxwedge is half-sister to a Group placed two-year-old from a speedy family. Jockey booking maybe a sign of intent so could go well despite tough draw.

Kingman filly fetched €300,000 as a yearling, is a half-sister to several winners, including smart 1m2f-1m7f winner Pacifique. Never really involved on C&D debut last month and will likely need further to show best form

Newcomer by Slade Power cost 85,000gns as a yearling and is out of an unraced dam from a good family at 1m plus. Trainer also runs Hidden Message so market comparison should be made. Very surprising if one of the pair doesn't go close.

Newcomer by Tagula out of a 5f-6f winner from a sprinting family. Trainer one from 45 with turf two-year-olds over last five seasons so can only be watched here.

Coach House newcomer out of a sprint maiden who only raced at two. Not a likely sort on pedigree or connections so watching brief recommended.

Verdict

Sir Michael Stoute runs two her but far the more compelling claims are made by KING'S GIRL who followed up a promising debut with a second at Brighton where she looked likely to be better suited by today's 6f trip. William Haggas also runs two and it's hard to gauge the pecking order with Oisin Murphy claimed by his employers Qatar Racing for Hidden Message and stable jockey James Doyle onboard Oriental Sea. Both make appeal on pedigree but the former marginally gets the nod of the duo.
  1. King's Girl
  2. Hidden Message
  3. Oriental Sea
