Just one win in 24 outings, and that came on his second start in Ireland. Has finished last on two of his three races this year, and hard to make a case for him here.
Winner at Southwell last year, but largely well held this term, albeit not beaten far in a stronger race than this at Wolverhampton in April. Says plenty for this race that he's one of the likelier winners.
Barely beaten a rival in four outings this year, and even at this lowly level, cannot be fancied.
Fifth place is the best she's managed in nine outings to date, and that came in a 7-runner race at Chepstow last month (blinkered first time). Flattered by proximity there, but not without a chance in this line-up.
Improved on dire debut when fourth of 8 in a 1¼m seller at Ripon last month. Well beaten in novice company last time, but this is more realistic.
Standout effort this season when runner-up in a 1¼m handicap at Bath in June. Big chance if repeating that, for all last couple of runs have been below that level. Visor she wore last time is retained.
A winner on his debut over 5f here last year, but he has regressed this season. That said, his best recent form would give him sound claims in this company, and he is shortlisted.
Has finished last or second to last on all six starts, and the fitting of cheekpieces does little to bolster confidence in his chances of improving that record.
Made a fairly promising start when third over 7½f here on her sole start last year, but hasn't trained on, it seems. Dropped in class after poor run in handicap company at Chelmsford last time.
Has the rare distinction of boasting winning form this year, landing a 0-60 handicap at Ayr in July. Not in same form since, but still a leading player in this poor affair.
Forecasts
Travel Lightly (5/2), Glorious Asset (7/2), Havana Star (4/1), Tiara Gold (6/1), Ferrier (7/1), Bob's Girl (10/1), Clon Rocket (20/1), Broctune Red (28/1), Jiro Boy (40/1), Majestic Man (66/1)
Very few of these make any appeal, and the vote goes to FERRIER, who is a recent winner, and is worth a chance to see if a visor can improve her at the second time of asking. Havana Star has regressed, but has his best opportunity since winning here on debut, and he's a threat, along with Travel Lightly, another with winning form this summer.
- Ferrier
- Havana Star
