Just the one win in 22 starts is an obvious concern and soft ground here could pose a problem as well. Form of last couple of starts is below par for him and he needs to bounce back now.
Winner in a lesser grade at Ayr last month (10f), showing a good attitude in the process but pulled his chance away at Musselburgh last time, and can't afford to do that here. Should handle some cut though, so could bounce back if settling.
Mark is falling through the floor after a run of dreadful efforts and after another solid beating at Doncaster last time, is showing little appetite for the game at present. Easy to look elsewhere.
No win machine but has a decent enough record at this track and again turned in a good effort over C&D last time out. Handles soft ground so any rain is fine, and simply looks more likely to run his race than a few here. Chances.
Wasn't going anywhere quickly until turning in a better effort against an improving sort at Ripon last time, sticking on well late for fourth. May improve again, and seems to handle some cut, so is one of the more interesting ones here.
Had 12 starts so far and in truth already looks regressive after some moderate efforts this time around. Handicapper doing all he can to help but not hard to look elsewhere for the winner.
Had just the four starts in Ireland (all on the sand at Dundalk) and now has first start for Geoff Harker. Yard know the time of day, but this one is hard to fancy, having been off since March and has questions regarding trip/ground.

Apple Anni (5/2), Donnelly's Rainbow (4/1), Inner Circle (9/2), Qasr (9/2), Roaring Forties (11/2), Thornaby Nash (6/1), Collingham Park (6/1), Rosy Ryan (13/2), Boatrace (25/1)
The rain that fell earlier in the week promises to make the ground very testing today, and there will be no hiding place for non-stayers, whatever the trip. THORNABY NASH makes more appeal than most in this opener, as conditions will be far less a problem for him than it will many of the others, and a solid effort looks on the cards. Rosy Ryan may be one that improves a bit today and can challenge for places, along with Qasr. Collingham Park needs a market check.
