Dropped significantly in the ratings but lost his way for his former yard. Probably best watched on debut for his new trainer.
Has a 7f course win to his name but has since proved to like more of a test of his stamina on the Flat and over hurdles. Comes into this on the back of two poor efforts and is hard to recommend.
Showed ability early in his career but has been around a number of yards now and not managed a win for two years. Handicap mark has plummeted as a result and is another that needs to dig a lot deeper than he has of late. Debuts for another new yard.
Won a seller here in April but soon reverted to type after and has failed to build on the effort. Does go well for tonight's rider but has a lot to prove after some modest recent performances.
Gelded after 3 modest runs last season but has shown ability since his return. Posted his best effort to date when a close second at Windsor over an extended 1m3f. Big claims if able to take another step forward and appears to have strengthened up.
Capable at this sort of level under both codes of racing comes into this on the back of a pleasing run at Kempton earlier this week. Handles the surface, so has to make the shortlist in her current form.
Had an interrupted season and not made much impact over longer trips when tried in Ireland. Handled this course on her only previous visit with her former yard and, with the drop to 1m4f likely to suit, the mare is another to bear in mind.
Out of form this season and difficult to recommend as he steps up to a new trip on his debut for his current yard. ALso lacks experience of racing at Wolverhampton.
Very moderate form posted so far and is easy to leave out of the betting plans as the filly step up significantly in trip; also needs to prove herself on the surface as she's put in two poor efforts at this course before now.
Gaining in experience and posted an encouraging effort here when last seen in action (in July). Needs to prove her stamina and has yet to start a race at single-figure odds. Hard to recommend.
Another that needs to prove herself capable of lasting out stamina-wise. Does handle the surface but plenty to prove on these terms.

Safarhi (4/7), Dame Nellie (9/2), Mrs Burbidge (6/1), Spinning Pearl (7/1), Calvinist (14/1), Chica Da Silva (14/1), Ember's Glow (18/1), Foxy Locks (20/1), Sevilla (20/1), Bridge Of Sighs (40/1), Hell Of A Lady (80/1), Invincible Wish (80/1)
SAFARHI appeals as one that has more to offer and he has been found a weak opening to put the theory to the test. The selection is taken to be more progressive than Dame Nellie and Mrs Burbidge, who look the most reliable alternatives from the modest bunch drawn together for what is the weaker of the two divisions of this race. Spinning Pearl is another with place claims and is worth checking out when the betting starts to warm up.
- Safarhi
- Dame Nellie
- Mrs Burbidge
