Salisbury winner in June and gave it a bold shot off 3lb higher when a close third over 6f at Windsor last month. Drop back to 5f should not be a problem.
Not getting any younger, but seems to hold his form well as he showed when scoring at Sandown in July. Made much of the running, but finished behind Open Wide at Windsor.
Not the force of old, but has generally been running with credit this season. Found 6f too far at Redcar last time and will be happier returned to the minimum distance.
Very promising seasonal reappearance in a Group 3 contest at Newmarket in May, but has not matched that effort in five subsequent runs. Has dropped to a lenient mark and would be a big threat if returning to that earlier form.
Winner of five races last year, including over C&D, but has not been quite the same force off higher marks this time round. Finds himself on a workable mark, however, and is dangerous to dismiss.
Landed a Maisons-Laffitte maiden for Freddie Head in June, but found the opposition too tough when last seen in a conditions event at Deauville. Starts out for a a new trainer and is an intriguing contender on his handicap bow.
Easy winner of a 6f Nottingham handicap in July, but was raised 14lb to this mark and finished last of five at Newmarket on his only subsequent outing. Few miles on the clock, but drop to 5f is not guaranteed to suit.
Back to form when scoring on the Southwell Fibresand last month. Lower mark on turf and has winning form at this venue so he is one to consider.
In fine form during the summer with wins at Leicester and Haydock after which the handicapper had his say. Did not get the clearest of runs when behind Open Wide at Windsor, but has plenty to prove off his current mark.
Cattterick winner in July following which the handicapper took his revenge. May still be a shade high in the weights and others are preferred.
Fine efforts on last two starts, latterly when third of 14 in a hot Sandown handicap a week ago. Up 3lb, but that is negated by the claim of his talented pilot.
Completed a hat-trick of wins last season, but is without a victory this time round. Has been running with credit off this sort of mark, but his consistency means the handicapper has given him little respite.
Well behind Bahamian Sunrise when only ninth at Sandown last week, but did not get the best of runs and is better judged on his Newmarket success in July. Needs to return to his best to figure in a strong race.
Runner-up on last three starts, latterly in first-time cheekpieces which are left off. Place claims again and is a useful back-up to stable companion Mountain Peak. Jockey won this last year.
Forecasts
Open Wide (5/1), Mountain Peak (6/1), Move In Time (6/1), Moonraker (6/1), Equimou (7/1), Madame Bounty (8/1), Delagate This Lord (12/1), Choosey (12/1), Bahamian Sunrise (14/1), Erissimus Maximus (14/1), Shamshon (16/1), Waseem Faris (16/1), The Gates Of Dawn (25/1), Bahuta Acha (40/1)
It is difficult to get a handle on the form of French import The Gates Of Dawn, who could be well treated on his handicap debut. He is certainly one to keep an eye on in the betting, but the vote goes to BAHAMIAN SUNRISE, who was a fine third in a hot contest at Sandown last time and whose rise in the weights is negated by his talented jockey's claim. He may be chased home by the in-form Moonraker, while Equimou and Erissimus Maximus have dropped to lenient marks and Choosey is not totally exposed.
- Bahamian Sunrise
- Moonraker
- Erissimus Maximus
