Won a novice event at Chelmsford last year but three starts in handicaps so far this year have not been good. Needs to bounce back dropping in trip but still early days and too soon to write off.

Went close here over C&D back in July off a 2lb higher mark. Shaped with encouragement on soft ground at Epsom last time and is clearly on a winnable mark. Needs to put his best foot forward but not easy to dismiss from a good draw.

Has won twice in recent weeks a Wolverhampton over 6f and then 5f. Climbing up the weights all the time but is a sprinter in fine form and the latest win was boosted by the runner-up on Wednesday. Clear form claims once again.

Won on debut and sound efforts in defeat the last twice under the penalty. This mark looks pretty attractive for her handicap debut and is a leading player for sure.

Sings that there is some ability there and mark has dropped to a level in which he should be competitive. Two best efforts have come on the AW so interesting he comes here. Not without a shout if he returns to peak form.

Had been progressing prior to last two efforts which have both been very poor. Last of eight here over 7f last time. Mark is slipping all the time but impossible to fancy on the back of those last two runs.

Winner at Dundalk back in March for Ger Lyons and has been fairly consistent since. Starts life with new yard today and they do well with recruits from elsewhere so market check very much needed today.

Bounced back to form when staying on strongly to win at Lingfield (6f, AW) two starts back. Didn't like the soft ground at Epsom last time and can be forgiven that. Previous C&D winner and capable of going well if bouncing back.

Forecasts

Indian Tygress (6/4), Han Solo Berger (5/2), Red Cymbal (3/1), It's All A Joke (10/1), Laubali (14/1), General Jack (20/1), Quick Recovery (25/1), Sweet And Dandy (40/1)

Verdict

Laubali is a sprinter in fine form and is very much respected here going back up to 6f. IT'S ALL A JOKE makes plenty of appeal off what looks a good mark on debut for Archie Watson. The yard are operating at a 24% strike rate in recent weeks and do well with their recruits from elsewhere so he could take some stopping.
  1. It's All A Joke
  2. Laubali
  3. Quick Recovery
