More recent of two handicap wins this year came over C&D in July, and has run creditably in defeat since. Rarely runs a bad race, and expected to give another good account
Now 4lb lower than when winning this race a year ago, but recent form has left something to be desired, albeit racing in disadvantaged group when ninth of 13 at Windsor last time.
Victorious five times last year, but disappointing this time around until showing a bit more on favoured soft ground at Carlisle last time. On a tempting mark if building on that, and any rain would be a bonus.
Salisbury novice winner last year (5f, good to soft), and highly tried on penultimate start. Ran moderately on handicap bow at Ffos Las recently, and hood he wore there removed now dropping back in distance.
Has bagged a brace of 5f handicaps this year, most recently off 4lb lower at Thirsk in July. Not in same form since, however, rearing up leaving the stalls on last two starts, and handicapper slow to relent.
Gained back-to-back wins in April for Mick Channon, but has shown little in a couple of outings for current yard, and something to prove now.
Landed a couple of 5f handicaps on turf at Lingfield earlier in the summer, but those came at a lower level, and she's been found out in more competitive company since. Similar story expected here.
Easy winner from Suitcase 'N' Taxi at Pontefract (5f, heavy) in May, and some fair efforts since, but proving expensive to follow as a rule in recent times, and usually opposable for win purposes.
All three wins this season have come at Chepstow, and in lower class contests than this. Still looking for first turf win away from that venue, and passed over despite impressive form figures.
Just 1lb higher than when winning on heavy ground at Ripon in April, but below form until shaping a bit better at Thirsk last month. Not certain to build on that now, however.

Forecasts
Major Pusey (5/2), Show Palace (9/2), Jabbarockie (9/2), Youkan (5/1), Foxy Forever (5/1), Signore Piccolo (6/1), Lydiate Lady (8/1), Foxtrot Knight (17/2), Bellevarde (12/1), Orient Class (12/1), Suitcase 'n' Taxi (25/1), Quantum Dot (25/1), Marietta Robusti (66/1)
SHOW PALACE hasn't fired fully this season, but hinted at a revival at Carlisle on his latest outing, and the prospect of soft ground increases his chances. Jabbarockie doesn't know how to run a poor race, and makes most appeal of the others, with Signore Piccolo and Foxy Forever also capable of playing a part in the finish.
