Not won for over 12-months when landing a Curragh handicap off a similar mark. Trainer/Jockey combination currently boast a 54% win and place strike rate.
Winner of one of his five Flat starts on turf but that was back in 2016 though has won on the AW at Dundalk since. Place claims at best.
In good form over hurdles in the spring and placed third at Leopardstown on his return to the Flat before disappointing at the Galway festival in a 19-runner handicap as beaten favourite.
Consistent performer who has been in good form over hurdles and on the flat of late. Each way chance if last run dismissed.
Largely consistent in a number of starts since May. Racing 4lb higher than last winning mark but can still go well at a price.
Plying his trade in the Nation hunt side of the game recently. Second of 12 beaten ½L at Killarney in July but is now 17lb lower than his last winning mark.
Veteran was a 50/1 winner in July 2017 and landed another shock at 25/1 in a Sligo handicap on good ground last month off a 4lb lower mark. Consistency not one of the 10-years-old strengths.
One from 13 on the Flat but finished third of 15 in this contest 12-months ago off an 8lb lower mark so has to be respected.
Second of 15 in this contest 12-months ago off a similar mark and it appears this race has been a target for sometime.
C&D winner of this race 12-months ago off a similar mark. Beaten since but yard have had a couple of second places in the last week.
Well held in a number of starts since April and would normally be easily dismissed. Market likely to be informative.
Without a win in five starts on the Flat and first time blinkers doubtful to bring about the required amount of progress needed to play a role here.
In fair form in recent times including when finishing seventh at Killarney over 2m1f in July before a respectable third of 12 beaten 3L in a Tramore handicap last month. Worth noting in the betting.
Forecasts
Waterville Dancer (4/1), Neverushacon (5/1), She's A Star (7/1), Boom Or Bush (8/1), Circling Moon (9/1), Venezia (9/1), Nelson Road (9/1), Apparition (9/1), Hey Little Boy (10/1), Micras (20/1), Eight Till Late (20/1), The Plan Man (25/1), Glenbank King (25/1)
The first and second from the race 12-months ago Boom Or Bush and Nelson Road are sure to be well prepped for their rematch here but with possible ground concerns against both, the vote goes to improving four-year-old WATERVILLE DANCER who had good form over the summer before he was backed as if defeat was out of the question at the Galway festival before flopping over 2m½f, eventually beaten 25L. The Johnny Murtagh-trained Circling Moon can go well at a price.
- Waterville Dancer
- Circling Moon
- Boom Or Bush
