Feasibly handicapped having racked up a long losing sequence, and has solid place claims on balance of his form, but tends to hang left under pressure, and easy enough to oppose for win purposes.

Put a disappointing effort behind her when making all over 7½f at Lingfield a month ago under this rider. More to do from revised mark, but can't be ignored.

Maiden, and ran poorly on final start for Neil Mulholland, although that came on the quickest turf he's encountered, and back to form on debut for new yard when caught close home at Sandown. Claims if building on that.

Dual winner over 6f in spring last year and lightly raced since. Well beaten over that trip on seasonal debut at Windsor last month, however, and stamina to prove stepping up in distance.

Winner over 1m at Dundalk in February, but that his only success in 25 attempts, and followed good fourth at Hamilton in July with a lesser effort on Tapeta last time, albeit not getting clearest of runs.

Helped by being held up in a strongly run race when winning at Wolverhampton on penultimate outing, but couldn't pull off similar tactics at Chelmsford last time, and over two years since his sole win on turf. Has left Johnny Farrelly.

Star Girl21
Age: 3|  Weight: 8-13| J: N Mackay| T: P D Evans| OR:  51

Has shown signs of ability, but ultimately well held in three starts to date, and handicapper hasn't been generous with her opening mark.

Creditable third over extended 1m at Hamilton in June, but he hasn't matched that form in four subsequent starts, and blinkers no obvious help the last twice. Others more compelling.

Age: 5|  Weight: 8-12| J: Callum Shepherd| T: R Stephens| OR:  45
12/1
Longstanding maiden who has been below form on all three starts this year, although not disgraced over 6f at Chepstow last time, and shaped there as if worth a try at this trip.

Willsy23
Age: 5|  Weight: 8-12| J: Finley Marsh(5)| T: Frank Bishop| OR:  45| D

Well held over sprint trips on two most recent starts. Returning from a break when seventh at Windsor last month and should be fitter for that outing, so not a forlorn hope.

Sugar Plum Fairy32
Age: 3|  Weight: 8-10| J: L Morris| T: A W Carroll| OR:  48

Just a poor maiden on balance, and no impact in a pair of handicaps over 6f this summer, although noted keeping on last time, and shapes like a return to this trip may help.

Nearer last than first on all four starts to date, and looks very limited on evidence to hand. Blinkered now, but not hard to look elsewhere.

Silverturnstogold (2/1), Mostawfee (3/1), Jazzy Girl (7/2), False Id (6/1), Swot (7/1), Princess Way (8/1), Indiana Dawn (12/1), Foxrush Take Time (12/1), Sugar Plum Fairy (16/1), Hold Your Breath (16/1), Willsy (20/1), Star Girl (20/1), Concur (33/1), Stylish Grace (40/1)

Verdict

Paul George has made a positive start since taking over the family operation in Devon, and PRINCESS WAY can provide him another winner after scoring at Lingfield to give the rookie handler his first success. Jazzy Girl has hardly run a poor race all year, and is a threat, along with Silverturnstogold, who got back on track starting out for Tony Carroll at Sandown. Carroll also has Hold Your Breath, who makes a little appeal at bigger odds now she drops in class.
  1. Princess Way
  2. Jazzy Girl
  3. Hold Your Breath
