Maid Of Spirit22
Age: 3|  Weight: 9-4| J: H Crouch| T: C G Cox
4/5
Well bred daughter of Invincible Spirit who was physically very impressive ahead of her debut and overcame greenness to rally strongly for a win. Represents a top trainer of juveniles and sets the standard.

Horse silk
Bird of Wonder
Age: 3|  Weight: 9-2| J: M Harley| T: H Candy
14/1
Cost 2,500 gns as a foal rising to 20,000 gns as a yearling and bred for speed. Stable very much in form and worth a check in the market ahead of debut.
3
(3)
Horse silk
11/4
Gelded son of Helmet who cost £32,000 as a yearling. Fancied in the market on debut and caught the eye running on from a wide draw following a slow start. Likely to improve and a leading contender.
Showed some promise when a distant third on debut but subsequently tailed off after showing early pace. Hard to fancy on that evidence.

Maximum Power22
Age: 3|  Weight: 9-2| J: M Dwyer| T: Tim Pinfield
33/1
Showed big improvement while still being green when fourth at Windsor. Extra furlong likely to help and can be competitive but a bit to find with Maid Of Spirit.

Horse silk
100/1
Sent off at triple figure odds and finished well beaten on both starts to date. Impossible to make a case for at present.
7
(5)
Horse silk
50/1
Stable not noted for first-time winners and likely to be suited by much further in time. Best watched on debut.

Horse silk
Rokamlovip122
Age: 4|  Weight: 8-13| J: Joey Haynes| T: Frank Bishop
100/1
Tailed off on debut and refused to race on her second start. First-time cheekpieces added but has shown nothing to suggest she can be competitive.
9
(6)
Horse silk
33/1
Mayson filly who was well backed on debut and despite greenness ran a promising race. Looked likely to improve for the run but plenty more required here.

Alba Del Solep17
Age: 3|  Weight: 8-11| J: Gabriele Malune(5)| T: I Furtado| OR:  65
4/1
10-race maiden who hasn't built on early promise when trained by John Gosden. Went close over this distance in a Doncaster handicap but failed to build on that over further. Likely to find a couple more progressive.

Horse silk
Brogans Bay20
Age: 3|  Weight: 8-11| J: Louis Steward| T: S Dow
66/1
Not fancied and shown little when well beaten in both starts so far. Vast improvement required and remains best watched.

Horse silk
Saguaro21
Age: 3|  Weight: 8-11| J: L Morris| T: S Kirk
66/1
Daughter of High Chapparal bought for 25,000 gns as a yearling. Shown little in two starts to date and hard to imagine the drop in trip will help.

Forecasts

Maid Of Spirit (4/5), Crash Helmet (11/4), Alba Del Sole (4/1), Bird of Wonder (14/1), Maximum Power (33/1), Distant Applause (33/1), Aegean Beauty (33/1), Simply Sin (50/1), Saguaro (66/1), Brogans Bay (66/1), Purple Paddy (100/1), Rokamlovi (100/1)

Verdict

MAID OF SPIRIT was highly impressive in winning on debut and looked to have the potential to make a very smart filly for a trainer whose runners only tend to improve for the run. Maximum Power ran behind her on his second start and while it will take some improvement to reverse the form he's still respected. Crash Helmet ran a highly encouraging debut and rates the main danger while of the two debutantes Bird Of Wonder would be interesting with support.
  1. Maid Of Spirit
  2. Crash Helmet
  3. Maximum Power
