Made an emphatic winning AW debut at Lingfield (7f) last week; ahead of the handicapper under a 6lb penalty and should prove very tough to beat assuming the visor (second time) continues to have the same positive effect.
Six-race maiden who has shown more since introduced to nurseries (5f-6f); evidently well suited by Tapeta (at Wolverhampton), and could well be involved if staying this longer trip.
Dropped to Class 6 company for his nursery and AW debut at Kempton (7f) last month, where he was an all out 8/1 winner (beat the subsequent Chelmsford winner Sophosc); raised 5lb since.
Hasn't really been seeing out his races so far (6f-7f), so the blinkers are now applied on AW debut; dropped 2lb since his nursery debut sixth of eight at Haydock (7f) last month.
Game winner of 7f Catterick seller (good to firm) on her penultimate start, she's switched to the AW for her nursery debut seeking further (required) improvement.
Not convinced so far, and failed to beat a single rival on nursery debut at Thirsk (6f, soft) last month; dropped a further 3lb for AW debut with cheekpieces applied.
€52,000 yearling; showed a degree of improvement in the visor when finishing 2¾L third to Go Annie Go in a 7f seller at Thirsk in early July; off since and now makes the switch to nursery company.
Modest efforts on a range of variations of turf so far (5f-6f); dropped 3lb, and upped in trip for just her second start in a nursery; AW debut.
Started at big prices, and has made little impression in three starts thus far (5f-6f); difficult to make any case for whatsoever on nursery debut over 7f.
Ran his best race so far when beaten just 2L at Kempton latest (6f); that race suggested that another attempt at 7f was advisable, so interesting to see how he figures in the market exchanges.
Her dam was 6f-7f winner, but this filly hasn't shown any worthwhile form so far, including on nursery debut at Thirsk (6f, soft) latest; cheekpieces applied for the switch to the AW.
£30,000 yearling; failed to threaten to hit the target in three quick starts during May and June (5f-6f); back from a short break for nursery debut; half-brother to four winners, but surely only noteworthy if any market support arrives.
Holds no chance at all on all known previous turf form, with the slimmest of glimmers of hope offered by the switch to the AW; half-sister to the French 7½f AW scorer Money Sister.
Poor so far, including when finishing last of twelve (100/1) over 6f at Ripon last month; very lowly rated for nursery debut, but with good reason.
Forecasts
Hard Taskmaster (8/11), Precision Prince (11/2), Dark Panther (6/1), Dreamseller (12/1), Deanozoff (12/1), Dark Havana (14/1), Micronize (20/1), Jasmine B (28/1), Smashing Lass (33/1), Annie's Crook (40/1), You Little Beauty (80/1), Blazing Dreams (80/1), Blackcurrent (100/1), Pink Porrino (100/1)
A thick black line can be safely inked through the vast majority of these low grade juveniles, with the list of likely winners appearing to be a very short one indeed. Kempton scorer Precision Prince makes the shortlist, as do the upped in trip duo Dark Panther and Micronize, but in reality this looks to be the ideal opportunity for HARD TASKMASTER. He is well treated under a 6lb penalty after fair bolting up on his AW debut at Lingfield last week (visor retained), and looks to be fully capable of following up as a result.
- Hard Taskmaster
- Dark Panther
- Precision Prince
