Tends to blossom in the autumn and was backed into favouritism over this C&D last time. Ground was probably a bit too quick for him that day and starts life for new yard today off an attractive mark.

Mr Strutter22
Age: 4|  Weight: 9-6| J: A Elliott| T: Ronald Thompson| OR:  64| CD
9/1
Previous C&D winner that won a weak looking race at Catterick (6f, good to firm) off a 3lb lower mark two starts back. Not quite as good at Newcastle last time but better on turf and claims once again.

Won off this mark over 7f at Wetherby in June. Nowhere near that level of form since and this trip is a worry. Best form tends to be over further and others maybe a bit too quick for him.

Ran well on second start at Doncaster earlier in the year but struggled since including last two runs in handicaps. Needs to step up significantly on those efforts now. Tongue-tie goes on first time.

Won four times in 2017 but not seen since finishing tailed off at Wolverhampton in October. Likely to need the run here and presumably had issues since.

Not been with this yard all that long and has blown chance with slow starts the last twice. On his last wining mark so is capable but needs to do much more.

All four runs so far this year have been weak and really needs to bounce back now. Glimmers last time that she ran well for longer and is now on a good mark. Dangerous if bouncing back.

Previous C&D winner who did well to win over this trip at Redcar (good) four weeks ago. 5lb higher now and not quite so good the last twice. Capable though of getting in the mix once again.

Ran well to finish third of 14 at over C&D (soft) earlier this month. Races off the same mark here and has won off a 9lb higher mark in the past.

Been running consistently well this summer without winning. Close up third of 15 over C&D 11 days ago and has sound claims once again off the same mark with good riders 3lb claim an asset.

Tadaanyb122
Age: 6|  Weight: 8-7| J: J P Sullivan| T: Mrs R Carr| OR:  50

Been running on quick ground most of the summer but much prefers to get his toe in the ground. Lurking on a dangerous mark now and with blinkers on first time, could well bounce back to form despite being out the weights.

Etienne Gerard5
Age: 6|  Weight: 8-7| J: Laura Coughlan(7)| T: N Tinkler| OR:  47| D

Winner off a 6lb lower mark back in June but not in the same form since. Races from 4lb out of the weights here today and up against it.

Forecasts

Munfallet (7/2), Peachey Carnehan (9/2), Tadaany (11/2), Kroy (7/1), Mr Strutter (9/1), Someone Exciting (10/1), Praxedis (12/1), Lady Willpower (12/1), Etienne Gerard (16/1), Munthany (16/1), Tiger Lyon (33/1), Castlerea Tess (50/1)

Verdict

It wouldn't be a shock if Tadaany could bounce back to form in the first-time blinkers under more suitable conditions here and he is respected. MUNFALLET will appreciate these conditions on first start for his new yard today and should be pretty tough to keep out the frame. Peachey Carnehan ran well here earlier in the month and is still lurking on a dangerous mark.
