Showed some ability over various trips on three outings on the Flat in Ireland. Bought for 19,000 gns and sure to have been well schooled ahead of his hurdling bow.

9/2
Not the most straightforward on the Flat and he showed wayward tendencies on his hurdling debut. Bumped into a smart sort that day and has undergone wind surgery since, but clearly carries a risk warning.

Age: 3|  Weight: 10-12| J: Andrew Tinkler| T: M Keighley
66/1
Modest form on the Flat and over hurdles thus far and of limited appeal despite the reapplication of a hood.

Age: 3|  Weight: 10-12| J: Daniel Sansom(5)| T: J W Mullins
28/1
Dual AW winner on the Flat in Belgium as a two-year-old. Makes hurdling debut on stable bow and worth a check in early trading.

Malangen28
Age: 3|  Weight: 10-12| J: T Scudamore| T: D Pipe
12/1
Picked up by his current trainer for £10,500 having landed a Leicester seller on his second career start. Makes hurdling debut and meets rivals who have accomplished more.

Mouchee14
Age: 3|  Weight: 10-12| J: Brendan Powell| T: M Blake
50/1
Dual winner on the Flat who was claimed after picking up a Windsor seller last month. Tailed off on hurdling debut following mistakes and hard to fancy as a result.
7
Horse silk
9/2
Hard to dismiss given the current form of the yard and his mark on the Flat. Clear concerns on pedigree that he will stay this far and he produced a poor effort last time.

Rum Ration44
Age: 3|  Weight: 10-12| J: J M Quinlan| T: M H Tompkins
66/1
Showed precious little in five starts on the Flat and nothing to suggest he will be any better now going hurdling.
9
Horse silk
33/1
Cheap purchase by Black Sam Bellamy out of a dam who was well beaten in bumpers and over hurdles. Makes little appeal.
Dual Flat winner in the French provinces on soft ground, the latest coming over 1m3f. Can take a keen hold but in capable hands for a yard with a 17-56 record with hurdlers here since 2014.

Forecasts

Nordican Bleue (13/8), Brandy James (7/2), Chief Justice (9/2), Royal Household (9/2), Malangen (12/1), Janus (28/1), Charlotte Du Berry (33/1), Mouchee (50/1), Enforcement (66/1), Rum Ration (66/1)

Verdict

Chief Justice is the pick of those with hurdling experience but he does not appear one who should be trusted. Royal Household is the highest rated of these from the level and his yard are in good form. However, he was poor last time and carries a stamina doubt so the vote goes to Dr Richard Newland's French import NORDICAN BLEUE. The filly won twice in France and would not have to be anything out of the ordinary to land this. Leicester seller winner, Malangen, Janus and Brandy James are others to monitor in a contest where the market may prove highly informative.
  1. Nordican Bleue
  2. Royal Household
  3. Brandy James
