Made 65,000 gns at Breeze-Ups in April, bred to be speedy and made very encouraging debut at York in June. Poor next time but more like it at Thirsk (5f, good to soft) last month. Not straightforward but definitely has ability.
Not cut much ice in three starts, latest when seventh of nine at Doncaster (6½f, good to firm) 52 days ago, should be suited by drop back in trip for this AW bow.
Doncaster Rover colt, ran well on Ripon debut but even better at Thirsk last time when a close fourth (first home in his group). Didn't seem to relish 6f at Nottingham this month and claims back over 5f if taking to this surface.
Just the two starts, an unfancied 66/1 chance at Thirsk (5f, good to soft) most recently and finished well down the field. Plenty more needed for this switch to the AW.
Didn't show much first three starts but took a big leap forward when second at Wolverhampton (5f, AW) penultimate start in nursery (½L second of nine, winner won again since). Too keen to last home over 6f at Kempton since, player back down in trip.
Fourth foal by Garswood out of the 1m-1m2f winning dam Paquerettza; half-brother to 6f AW juvenile winner Continental Lady. Looked in need of the experience when seventh of 10 at Chelmsford over this trip on debut, can likely do better.
Epaulette with winner in her pedigree, showed plenty promise when finishing second on debut at Hamilton but didn't improve as expected when third of four at Ayr (5½f , good) four weeks ago. Retains potential to go well here.
Finjaan filly who dam was a 6f winner. Yard 0-5 with two-year-olds so far in 2018, market check likely to reveal if that sequence might be ended here.
Forecasts
Baldwin (7/4), Requited (2/1), Epona (6/1), Four Wheel Drive (8/1), Lonimoss Bareliere (16/1), Champagne Mondays (18/1), The Game Is On (20/1), Needwood Milly (28/1)
BALDWIN is a potentially tricky customer but has shown clear signs of ability and might well open the account on this first start on Fibresand, with a gelding operation hopefully enough to settle his notions. Epona wasn't beaten far at Ayr recently and should be capable over the shorter trip if adapting to the artificial surface. Requited took a big step forward at Wolverhampton last time and needs respecting now while Four Wheel Drive ought to be in the shake-up back down in trip.
