Formerly trained in Ireland by Gavin Cromwell, final start for that yard was a win here over slightly shorter trip in May. Interesting now after break, having gone up just 3lb.
Wolverhampton winner in May last year and won again on very fast ground at Bath on penultimate start off mark of 49. Capable of going well here if taking to Fibresand.
Scored over 1m4f at Thirsk last week, carries a 6lb penalty for that success and bids to end 0-13 record on artificial surfaces.
Tailed off last month at Wolverhampton on return to the Flat after unsuccessful stint hurdling for this yard. Was sent off 150/1 then and likely to hold limited appeal again here.
Rated in the high 70's in 2015, but had an extended period off the track prior to reappearing in May, best run since came over this trip at Wolverhampton 11 days ago. Can go close if building on that run.
Only win in 22 starts came over 1m1f but promising third of 17 over 1m4f at Thirsk this month was promising and will go close with a similar effort back on the AW.
Has barely beaten a rival since scoring here in April 2017 and very hard to get enthusiastic on chances despite tumbling mark.
German import who showed little on either start for this handler at Lingfield and Wolverhampton so far. Needs this significantly longer trip to bring about major improvement.
Fair start for this yard over 1m2f at Brighton in July after a layoff but essentially taking backwards steps since. 0-14 on turf and doesn't seem overly likely to open account now switched to the AW.
Lightly-raced since scoring at Newcastle in October 2016, and has presumably had issues. Below form at same venue after a lengthy absence in June and didn't improve in July at Wolverhampton dropped in trip. Back up here, hard to make a case for.
Improved for step up to 1m3f here in January, too keen on return from 169-day absence last month at Chelmsford over 1m6f. Possible can be seen to better effect this time.
By a sire who was unplaced on his only start. Has looked modest in her five runs so far, latest when weakening from contention in 1m soft-ground Chepstow handicap 11 days ago. First attempt beyond a mile now.
Lightly-raced filly, hasn't been able to lay any kind of blow in five starts so far, including in two handicaps. Tackles longer trip with plenty improvement required.
Unexposed but needs to build considerably on what she's shown so far. Trainer excels with this sort of animal. Well held over 1m6f at Wolverhampton last month, first-time cheekpieces added now.
Forecasts
Palindrome (11/4), Albert Boy (11/2), Filament Of Gold (7/1), Surewhynot (7/1), Snatty Dancer (8/1), Onda District (12/1), Red Douglas (14/1), Bushel (16/1), Glasgon (20/1), Goldfox Girl (20/1), Anna Jammeela (25/1), Delicate Footsteps (33/1), Young Tom (50/1), Lady Natasha (66/1)
SUREWHYNOT was well backed to win for trainer Gavin Cromwell here in May and is likely capable of better things still having been given a rest since. She's up 3lb by surely hasn't hit the ceiling just yet and can follow up. Albert Boy is respected after scoring at Thirsk in game style last time but is 0-13 on the AW. Filament Of Gold can play a part on first start here while Red Douglas went nicely here in January and should be ready to go after a pipe-opener at Chelmsford recently.
- Surewhynot
- Red Douglas
- Filament Of Gold
