Caught the eye on turf debut at Lingfield (7f), and delivered on that promise over same C&D last time, making all. More to come at this trip and further, and one to consider seriously.
Half-brother to 7f/1m Poets Dream out of a 1m1f-1½m winner. Unfancied, but stepped up on promising debut when 7¼L fourth of 18 to Momkin in a warm 7f novice at Newbury last time. Pedigree suggests he'll improve again at this trip, so not ruled out.
Dansili colt out of a maiden half-sister to Champion Stakes winner Pride. Appeals as a good long-term prospect on pedigree, and market should provide clues as to what's expected here.
Nathaniel colt out of a maiden half-sister to useful 1m winner Woven Lace. Quite a cheap purchase as a foal, but price rose markedly to 80,000 gns last year, and merits a market check as a result.
700,000 gns son of Frankel. Well fancied on debut at Sandown but got carried left at the start and ran green before finishing sixth. Improved a little when fifth at Newbury last time, but plenty more required if he's going to justify his price-tag.
Scat Daddy colt who was resold for €320,000, which makes him interesting, but full-brother was a winner at 5f, so debut at this trip a concern, and yard's juveniles invariably need experience.
Kendargent brother to Group 3 winner Kenhope. Kept on late on debut at Sandown, and still needed experience when fifth at Chelmsford last time. Looks one for handicaps after another outing.
Pedigree a mix of speed and stamina, but he hasn't achieved much in a couple of outings over 7f at Newbury, and probably more of a long-term project.
Norse Dancer brother to useful 2-y-o 1m winner Magic Dancer and half-brother to 1m winner The King's Steed. Already gelded, and yard just 1-27 with juveniles this year, so others appear more attractive.
Half-brother to fairly useful maiden Revolutionary Man out of an unraced mare from family of Breeders' Cup Mile winner Last Tycoon. Both yard's 2-y-o winners this year were debutants, so can't be dismissed if market speaks for him.
Full sister to 7f Group 1 winner Johannes Vermeer (also second in Melbourne Cup over 2m) and 1m1f Group 2 winner Elizabeth Browning. Shaped well when third on debut at Chelmsford behind promising rivals, and open to plenty of progress.
Forecasts
Fox Premier (9/4), Sapa Inca (7/2), Isle of Wolves (4/1), Al Fajir Mukbile (9/2), Floating Artist (10/1), Wise Ruler (14/1), Aussie Nugget (20/1), Kenzohope (25/1), Global Myth (33/1), Royal Dancer (50/1), Maykir (100/1)
SAPA INCA is bred to be smart, and is probably better than she showed behind a couple of promising sorts at Chelmsford, so is taken to make the most of the weight she receives from Lingfield winner Isle of Wolves. Al Fajir Mukbile is improving with experience, and has solid each-way claims.
- Sapa Inca
- Isle of Wolves
- Al Fajir Mukbile
