Makes handicap debut having shown promise and having attracted plenty of money ahead of his third start. Has a worrying tendency to hang under pressure.
Has won three races this year and will be suited by the return to 6f for this. Handles soft ground and rider's claim brings his weight down to a competitive level.
Backed on stable debut when runner-up at Haydock and failed to stay 7f on Monday. Promises to be suited by this stiff 6f but others appear better handicapped.
All his best performances have come on a stiff track but he has failed to add to last year's Hamilton success. Open to less improvement than some but solid each-way claims.
Has failed to rediscover his juvenile form and his mark is plummeting accordingly. Supported on penultimate start but failed to deliver. Handles a soft surface.
Built on promise of his handicap debut when winning over 5½f at Navan last time out. Gets 4lb more here but extra distance should be in his favour so no surprise if he runs well given his yard's record in this country.
His second run as a juvenile and this year's reappearance are good enough efforts to earn serious consideration. Handles soft ground and yard in form so worth a check in the market.
Gets a 21lb pull with Rickyroadboy for 5L based on a Ripon run in April. Opened his account at Thirsk before his new mark, slow start and wide journey conspired against him on Monday. Better expected this time.
Runner-up in a 6f Catterick nursery for George Scott in October 2017, but back-peddling at a rate of knots since joining current yard.
Forecasts
Bellick (3/1), Fard (4/1), Rickyroadboy (9/2), Sir Derrick (5/1), Final Go (6/1), Danehill Desert (12/1), Wensley (16/1), Rock Hill (20/1), Zizum (100/1)
This can go to Irish raider BELLICK who is unexposed and progressive. He appeared to have something in reserve when scoring on his last start and he has been waiting for soft ground since. The third won next time so there is substance to the form. Danehill Desert is not easy to win with but has track conditions to improve on his last effort. Rock Hill is better than his form figures suggest and Sir Derrick makes a quick reappearance after a lot went wrong on Monday.
- Bellick
- Danehill Desert
- Rock Hill
