Useful sort when he's on song but given some fairly stiff tasks in his last few runs, and not disgraced twice in listed company before racing over a trip too far last time. Blinkered now, and claims if back on song.
Only won once in 30 starts since his maiden success in 2014, although did hint at a revival at Newcastle last time. Still above his winning mark, however, and in need of some help from the assessor.
Won at Chelmsford on penultimate start, but turf efforts either side of that were less encouraging. Did finish a good third here on easy ground in April, though, and would be a player if he could get back to that form.
Has won three times on Tapeta and fast turf this season, but up in the weights as a result, and good run of form came to an abrupt halt at York last time. May be in the handicapper's grip for now.
Won three times last year in contrasting ground over 1m. Ran with credit at Sandown on return, and again shaped well when fourth returned to turf at Chester last time. Not taken lightly.
Well below form in three starts this year, but didn't shape that badly at Goodwood last time after a break, and is entitled to come on for that run, and has fallen below his last winning mark.
Had wind surgery prior to return here in July, and improved to win cosily in novice company. Followed up in similar event at Thirsk last time over 1m (good to soft), and looks to be very fairly treated starting out in handicaps.
Didn't need to improve on pick of maiden form to win novice events at Yarmouth and Windsor. Ran to a similar level when third over C&D on handicap debut last time, but retains the physical scope to progress, so not ruled out.
Plenty of promise in maidens/novices prior to making an impressive handicap debut at Sandown, winning by 2½L from Ledham. More to come given style of that success, and leading claims here.
Successful over 1m at Southwell in January, but has struggled since, including when the subject of support at Yarmouth last time. That did represent a step in the right direction, but much more needed now.
Left Henry Candy for 62,000 gns after winning twice at Goodwood last term. Fair effort starting out for current yard, but has run poorly on all four starts this year, for all he hinted at better last time.
Snapped a lengthy losing run when staying on strongly to justify market support at Pontefract in early May (1m soft), and best effort since when fourth of 7 there last time, finishing with more to give. Needs to show he can reproduce that.
Leicester winner for Richard Hannon a year ago, and not disgraced after an absence for new yard at Lingfield in July. Cheekpieces added now, but he will find much easier opportunities than this.
