Been running well without winning in decent company of late including the Super Sprint at Newbury. Drops back into novice company here so has sound claims but maybe vulnerable to an improver.

Son of Bated Breath. 10th foal, half-brother to some fair performers including Desert Image, Full Steam and Torrid. Dam was a winner over 7f in France and is a sister to 2000 Guineas winner Zafonic. Interesting debutant.

£50,000 yearling; second foal out of an early season 5f juvenile winner. Went very close to winning on debut when just failing to reel in the winner at Ascot (6f, good to firm). Sound claims of going close once more with improvement likely.
Son of Aussie Rules that fetched just 10,000 gns as a foal. Dam was a winner over 5f/6f and is related to several other winners. Interesting mix of speed and stamina in pedigree and market should be a good guide on debut.

Acclamation colt, cost 58,000 gns as a yearling. Dam a 7f AW winner and sister to a 1m winner. Run well on all three starts to date including when no match for potentially smart stablemate at Goodwood last time. Leading contender with Moore booked.

Fast Company colt that cost €36,000 as a yearling. Dam unraced half-sister to 7f two year old winner Mucho Applause. Yards runners tend to know their job and market a good guide to expectations.

Home-bred full-brother to the useful Prince Of The Dark who scored on debut for this yard last year. Speedy pedigree but this is a competitive race on debut and market check essential.

£100,000 son of Kodiac looked novicey on debut when sixth of seven over C&D last month. Should have learnt from that experience so an improved effort is likely although a big step up would be needed.

Invincible One65
Age: 2|  Weight: 9-2| J: David Egan| T: S Kirk
66/1
Cost 100,000 guineas as a yearling and is half-brother to a listed winner. Sent off 33/1 for recent debut at Windsor and was always struggling. Much more needed here.

Horse silk
33/1
Cost £95,000 as a yearling and is a half-brother to five winners. Took a small step backwards on his second start at Windsor and maybe that handicaps will suit on the back of this. Looks yards second strong on jockey bookings.

Forecasts

Dirty Rascal (10/11), Tin Hat (9/2), Breath Of Air (13/2), Crantock Bay (7/1), Grandstand (16/1), Flash of Power (16/1), Flashcard (33/1), Mykindofsunshine (33/1), Denis The Diva (50/1), Invincible One (66/1)

Verdict

Tin Hat sets a pretty good standard on the best of his form and will be a leading contender once again. It's been a while since he got his head in front though and maybe vulnerable to an improver. Crantock Bay made a very pleasing start to his career at Ascot and is respected with improvement to come. Preference on this occasion is for DIRTY RASCAL who finished second behind a potentially smart stablemate last time and can go one better here with Ryan Moore booked.
  1. Dirty Rascal
  2. Tin Hat
  3. Crantock Bay
