Out of her depth in a good contest at Beverley last time, but had previously shown promise, particularly on debut at Ripon. Steps up a furlong on first outing in nursery company and has her fair share of weight.

One Kiss13
Age: 2|  Weight: 9-7| J: Callum Rodriguez(3)| T: P D Evans| OR:  65
11/2
Promise in four starts, latterly when fourth of eight at Leicester. Opening handicap mark is not lenient, but she has ability and should be on the premises for last year's winning stable.

Horse silk
Double Quick19
Age: 2|  Weight: 9-6| J: D Tudhope| T: J Tate| OR:  64
7/2
Only fifth of six on her handicap debut at Newbury, but the form of that race has been franked by the subsequent win of the third home and she is down 3lb. One of the more interesting contenders.

Forcetoreckon25
Age: 2|  Weight: 9-5| J: D Allan| T: T D Easterby| OR:  63

Best of her three efforts so far came at Pontefract where she finished a good second of 10 to a winning debutant. The form of that race has taken a knock, but she is improving and respected on her first start in a nursery.

Giacomo Casanova25
Age: 2|  Weight: 9-4| J: T Eaves| T: K A Ryan| OR:  62
9/1
Signs of ability on all three starts, two of them on the AW. Needs to improve for handicapping, but is in good hands and is one to note for market support.

Bouncin Backp114
Age: 2|  Weight: 9-4| J: Rowan Scott(3)| T: N Tinkler| OR:  62
20/1
Out of the frame in all five races, one of them in nursery company. Probably capable of better and stable is enjoying a productive spell.

Blazing Dreams28
Age: 2|  Weight: 9-2| J: G Lee| T: B Haslam| OR:  60
20/1
Has hinted at ability on each of his four starts over 5f. Steps up in trip for his handicap bow and needs to improve for the change.

Don't Tell Dandy7
Age: 2|  Weight: 9-2| J: Connor Beasley| T: K Dalgleish| OR:  60
25/1
Well held in nurseries on her last two starts, latterly off this mark. Needs to up her game if she is to make an impact.

House Depositt25
Age: 2|  Weight: 9-2| J: K Stott| T: D Carroll| OR:  60

Showed improved form to finish fourth of seven on his handicap debut at Nottingham. Down 2lb and is not out of it if he can take another step forward.

Annie's Crook10
Age: 2|  Weight: 9-1| J: A Mullen| T: I Jardine| OR:  59
10/1
Only limited signs of ability in four starts in novice company over 5f. Tries 6f for the first time and it needs to produce improvement on her first start in a handicap.

Horse silk
Majestic Appeal11
Age: 2|  Weight: 9-1| J: P J McDonald| T: K R Burke| OR:  59
20/1
Showed some promise in novice events, but has failed to beat a rival in two starts in nurseries. Cheekpieces he wore last time are left off and he has plenty to prove off 4lb lower.

Fighting Spirit20
Age: 2|  Weight: 8-13| J: C J McGovern(5)| T: D O'Meara| OR:  57
12/1
Has cut little ice in four races so far, latterly over this distance at Catterick. First run in a handicap for shrewd stable, but needs to show more than she has done so far.
13
(2)
Horse silk
33/1
First run in a nursery saw him finish last of 10 at Ayr. Needs to make significant strides forward off the same handicap rating.

You Little Beauty14
Age: 2|  Weight: 8-8| J: Barry McHugh| T: Mrs A Duffield| OR:  52
20/1
Sent off at big prices and only limited ability in three starts in novice company. May do better now she is handicapping and initial rating is not too harsh.

Forecasts

Double Quick (7/2), One Kiss (11/2), Forcetoreckon (6/1), House Deposit (8/1), Giacomo Casanova (9/1), Annie's Crook (10/1), Fighting Spirit (12/1), Majestic Appeal (20/1), You Little Beauty (20/1), Bouncin Back (20/1), Blazing Dreams (20/1), Don't Tell Dandy (25/1), Josiebond (33/1), Geography Teacher (33/1)

Verdict

Most of these have been racing on a much sounder surface, so the market will indicate which of these youngsters are most likely to adapt to underfoot conditions. One Kiss is interesting on her nursery debut, but the vote goes to DOUBLE QUICK, who ran in a stronger contest at Newbury last time and is down in the weights. A host of potential dangers are headed by Forcetoreckon, Giacomo Casanova and House Deposit.
  1. Double Quick
  2. Forcetoreckon
  3. House Deposit
