Made all when winning over this trip (good) at Chepstow in June, but has given the impression that he's trained off a little since; capable, and has the bonus of Silvestre De Sousa in the saddle, but his best form is on quick ground.
Off the track since March, and has had wind surgery; has plenty of placed form as a three-year-old over 6f with cut, and whilst it's a clear leap of faith to support one with such a poor win record (1 from 23), he looks very well handicapped.
Reliable sort who is a credit to his trainer; inching up the weights, and that'll make finding winning opportunities tougher, but beaten by just a nose at Catterick last month (6f, good to firm), so fully respected.
Just unable to provide this trainer with a comeback winner at Yarmouth last month (6f), when losing little in defeat to Deeds Not Words; 3lb higher now on very different ground conditions.
Yet to win on turf (0 from 14), but went closest off a 4lb higher mark when finishing third over C&D in May; increasingly poor efforts with each subsequent start since, so needs the first-time cheekpieces to provide the spark.
Capable performer on his day (mainly over 5f on quick ground) so has a few question marks to answer over this trip with cut, but beaten narrowly off a 2lb lower mark latest, and that was a step back in the right direction.
Nine-race turf maiden (runner-up at odds of 50/1 over C&D in June); not entirely disgraced over this trip at Redcar latest (fifth) and is fairly lowly-rated, but others hold far better winning chances.
Not shown much in the way of ability in five starts so far (5f-7f), dropping 7lb in the weights since being allocated a handicap mark; hard to consider in any shape or form.

Searanger (10/3), At Your Service (7/2), Swanton Blue (5/1), Nampara (5/1), Secret Agent (6/1), Father Mckenzie (7/1), Seebring (8/1), Coastal Cyclone (12/1), Fantastic Flyer (14/1)
Both Searanger and At Your Service are fully respected after a sustained spell of solid recent form, but their winning opportunities are slowly being restricted by the handicapper, and both horses need to find further improvement. Secret Agent took a step back in the right direction on his most recent start, but rates as slightly risky on slower ground, so a chance is taken on the very well handicapped FATHER MCKENZIE. Assuming wind surgery has proved beneficial, he has the conditions (6f on soft ground) to more than make his mark.
