Sneaks into this race having eased to the ceiling mark of 90. After a fine effort at Glorious Goodwood last week when third in a fair sprint event he should again go well at a track where he has run creditably in the past off higher marks.
Rattled off a fine hat-trick at this track two years ago and has run some good races here since then, but now apepars in the handicapper's grip and will do well to regain the winning thread off current rating.
Has won 6-14 here at Chelmsford and is certainly better on this surface than turf. Front-runner who will make a bold bid to make all but likely to be reeled in inside the distance.
Won here in January off 2lb lower mark and should be better for the spin here last week after a three month summer holiday. Not out of it by any means if sharper now and won't be far away.
Gone close a few times of late but only recent winning form has been in sellers and claimers and seems to come up short when taking on decent handicappers. Others make more appeal.
Landed turf hat-trick off much lower marks earlier this season but has run very well lately at both the Curragh and Ascot. Ran in Ireland on AW and showed some form, but concern he may be stretched at this level on this surface.
Won three times on AW last winter but beaten favourite four of last five starts, including here in March where he ran modestly. Didn't enjoy blinkers last time so they are left off, but has something to prove at present.

Good prize money has attracted a decent field with preference for the top weight BOOM THE GROOM who looked to be on the way back to form with a big effort when third at Glorious Goodwood last week. Bosham should take them along at good fractions and will do his best to hang on, while Dynamo Walt could well show more than last time when he probably was in need of the outing. Island Of Life is interesting and has claims if taking to this track, while Only Spoofing cannot be ruled out although this is no easy task for him.
