On a consistent run of form since joining this stable from Michael Bell and gained an overdue third career win over this C&D two runs back. Ran slightly below that on softer ground when beaten favourite last time but likely better on this surface.

Well held behind Letmestopyouthere over this C&D when refusing to settle before not appreciating the drop back to the minimum trip here last time. Made all four starts back and may get the run of the race.

Won back-to-back races over the C&D running on strongly each time before being held off this revised mark last time. Looks weighted up to his best but clearly likes it here and respected.

Hit a good run of form for current stable, winning twice this year. However has failed to beat a horse home in two starts since including tailed off last time. Gets a welcome drop back in grade but may not get race run to suit.

Forecast

Letmestopyouthere (5/6), Deeds Not Words (9/4), The Lacemaker (9/2), Tawaafoq (16/1)

Verdict

A small field with little between the quartet on the form book but tactics may play a key with three of the runners liking to get a pace to run off. THE LACEMAKER made all at Lingfield in May and this looks a good opportunity, as the only likely front runner in the field, to reverse form with Letmestopyouthere. The latter will be suited by this quicker ground and is clearly respected while Deeds Not Words is a danger having shown a clear preference for this C&D. Tawaafoq is not out of this down in grade but has to bounce back from two disappointing runs.
