All four wins have come at Beverley over 7½f-1m½f, though has run well here. Still 4lb higher than his last win, 11-months ago. Has bettered that effort once this season, but below it on his last two starts, so needs to bounce back. Draw not kind.
Acts on good ground or softer. Last win was on the Fibresand in January and he goes into this in need of what will probably have to be a career-best to win it from this mark. Each-way claims.
Both wins have been over 1m. Only seen once in the past year, when beaten over 5L in a better race at Newmarket in April. 1lb lower here and looks to have been saved for slower ground than we have had of late. Interesting with 5lb claimed.
Frustrating to follow just lately, being beaten favourite on his last three starts, all at around this trip. Has won at this track and clearly has to be considered, but a 1lb upward nudge won't help his cause. More needed.
Prominent racer whose wins have been on good to firm. In good form lately, winning over 1m at York and then going close at Ayr. Came unstuck at a higher level last time, but is entitled to serious consideration back in this grade from a good draw.
Scored over C&D from 5lb lower this time last year. Acts on good/good to firm. Comfortably held from this mark at his beloved Beverley last time and from a wide draw, he looks up against it.
Sole win came over 6f at Ayr (good) in a novice event last year, but has bettered that on several occasions in defeat since. Not far off his best over this trip at Newmarket last time. Drops 1lb with headgear on for first time. Interesting.
Has already won twice at Carlisle (7f/1m, good to firm) this season, the latter from 4lb lower. Has to go the long way around at Chester last time, when beaten just 3L. Inconsistent, but if at his best he would be thereabouts.
Has not seen much action since scoring at Redcar (1m, good to firm) early last season, from 3lb lower. Not quite at that level so far this season and has never raced over a trip quite as short. Others preferred.
Majority of his wins have been on AW and over shorter, but has won at up to 1m and twice on turf (good to firm). 6lb higher than latest success at Beverley in June, with recent runs suggesting he is an each-way player at best.
Both wins have been over 6f and with some cut in the ground, though has run well on good. Unexposed over this trip, after a marginal career-best when stepped up at Haydock last time. Claims.
Scored over this trip on good at Doncaster last season, when 10lb lower. Has since won from 5lb lower on AW. Well held both starts since then and looks to have a bit to do at this level.
Not sold in March and has rejoined this trainer for a second spell since being held in all three runs in Dubai. Scored at Newbury (6½f, soft) in October for this trainer and makes handicap debut from a fair mark. Market check.

Another open contest, where plenty of them have each-way claims, but finding the winner won't be easy and CAPTAIN JAMESON just gets the nod. He won't mind the recent deluge having slowed things a little, while there should be more to come from him over this trip. Roller and Parys Mountain both look likely dangers along with Regulator, while Magical Effect cannot be dismissed lightly.
