5-25 so far, though has yet to run here. Scored from a mark of 86 at Wolverhampton in December and was beaten less than 2L from 1lb higher than today next time. Good draw, but needs improvement to take advantage.
Won both his second and third starts (7f/1m) in 2016, but is now on a losing run of 18. Has been competitive for much of that drought, meaning that the handicapper has been reluctant to drop him. Tough draw to contend with.
Won a maiden here over 7f (good to firm) last season. Sole handicap success came later from 6lb lower than today. Was beaten just ¾L over this trip at Carlisle two starts ago, but well held from this mark last time. Up against it.
Consistent performer from 7f-1m½f this season, only once not giving his true running. Scored at Leicester (7f) in June and is entitled to each-way claims from this 5lb higher mark, judged on his last two runs.
Won a 0-70 over C&D (good) at this meeting last year, when running up a four-timer from 7f-1m1f. Back to a mark 1lb higher than the last of those wins now and has a handy draw, but more needed on recent evidence.
3-12, with all three wins coming over 1m on good/good to firm ground, two of them here. 6lb higher than the last of those in May. Not quite as good in two runs since. Usually held up, so draw not as much of a concern. Not ruled out.
Has won on good, although is arguably a bit better when it is quicker. Held from similar marks to this in his two starts so far this season and looks to have each-way claims at best.
Another who sees out 1m but has yet to win over it. Scored over 7f at York (good to firm) in a similar race to this in June. Went up 5lb for that and another 1lb now after a decent effort at Ascot last time. Improvement needed.
All three wins have come on good ground or softer. Back on her last winning mark after a seven-race losing run, largely in better races than this. Ideally wants more rain, and has a squeak if she can run to the level of her Nottingham effort in May.
Multiple winner who goes on any ground. Has not won from a mark this high for almost two years, and only one of those nine successes has come under a claimer. Percentage call is to look elsewhere.
Won three of his first four starts, on good or softer. Then went 21 runs before scoring at Pontefract (1m, soft) in May, when 3lb lower. Well short of that level in his last three runs, and plenty of his plate from this draw.
Won twice in Ireland over this trip (good) for Ger Lyons. Has plummeted in the weights in five starts for this in-form trainer. Beginning to look well handicapped and has a decent draw. Would not rule out a big run.
Prolific winner, mainly from 7f-1m1f, and best efforts have been on good. Last success came over 7f at York in May from 5lb lower, in a big-field 0-90. Below that level both starts since, but couldn't rule him out as an each-way play.
Won a 0-80 over C&D (good) last August and followed up at Redcar from a mark of 86. Has had several chances from similarly handy-looking marks to this in recent runs. Wide draw, but is interesting now an extra 7lb is claimed.
4L fifth in this race last year, when 4lb higher, under a 7lb claimer. Acts on good/good to soft. Scored from 2lb higher at Redcar (1m) 12-months ago, but only once at a similar level this term. Claims if at his best, but has a bit to prove.
2-29 and won his second race narrowly at Ripon (1m2f, good) in June, when 3lb lower. This is more competitive, but he is entitled to each-way consideration, given a couple of even better efforts since and a likely strong pace here.
Improving three-year-old, who won a 7f novice event here in June and went very close under a penalty over C&D last time. Initial mark looks fair, and trainer won this in 2012. Not dismissed, but a tough ask on handicap debut.

A race where shocks are commonplace, with only one outright favourite winning in the last decade and an average winning SP of 15½-1. If there is to be another today, then ELUSIVE HEIGHTS may be capable of providing it. Roger Fell is enjoying his best ever season, and this five-year-old arrives looking well handicapped and has a decent draw. Trip and ground suit, and he could be worth chancing. Stablemate Zodiakos would go close if at his best, while Mikmak, Mon Beau Visage, Seduce Me and Areen Heart could all show up well. No three-year-old has won this since 2010, but Borodin is a very interesting runner.
