The recent significant improvement he has shown on turf is not reflected in an AW mark which has remained static. Could be a handicap steal if recent exertions have not left a mark so some market confidence would be ideal.

Has won at Southwell, Haydock and Ripon this year. Testing new heights in the handicap and drawn wide, but hard to dismiss in her current mood.

Has won here six times and his best mark these days is 85 or lower. Nicely drawn but needs a lot to drop right and probably more at home in a class 4.

Has to be ridden hands and heels only and goes well for this rider. Suited to a strong pace and got that when produced late to score here four weeks ago. Not unduly punished in the weights but taking on better horses this time.

Best suited by artificial surfaces (2 from 3), and yet to pick up the baton for this trainer after leaving Mark Johnston for 55,000gns in November 2017. Positive signs at Ascot last week in first-time blinkers and 7lb better off with Procedure.

Latest win came over this trip but probably slightly more effective over 6f. Seemingly held by the handicapper on his last three starts and hard to fancy from a wide berth.

Winner at Chester so clearly suited to racing on a bend. Has gone off too hard on his last two starts and he lacks AW experience.

Overcame trouble in running to score at Ascot last week and she has AW form as a juvenile. Can pull hard but drawn to get cover. A 7lb rise in the weights makes her task that much tougher and she needs to improve again.

Forecasts

Procedure (5/2), Alsvinder (3/1), Verne Castle (5/1), Something Lucky (5/1), Queen In Waiting (6/1), Midnight Malibu (14/1), Zamjar (16/1), Dynamo Walt (20/1), Computable (33/1)

Verdict

Queen In Waiting has a solid AW record and is weighted to reverse last week's Ascot placings with Procedure. The Stoute filly is clearly progressive, but a chance is taken that ALSVINDER has not had too much racing and can bounce back from a lacklustre display last time. Jim Crowley's mount has improved significantly in recent weeks which saw his turf mark go up 16lb. That is not reflected in an AW mark which has remained static since Christmas and as a result he has to be considered most attractively weighted.
