Narrow C&D winner on faster ground than she will get here. That form alone leaves her vulnerable under a penalty and others are preferred.
Speedily bred Garswood colt who fetched 60,000 gns as a yearling. His sire handled plenty of give and stable are having a cracking year with this age group.
Has struggled on both previous starts and again appears to be operating from a long way out of his depth.
16th foal and related to three winners including nine-time winner Jalmira. Picked up for €10,000 and doubtful he will find this enough of a test and his draw looks awkward.
Cost £80,000 at a breeze-up sale and with a yard who are no stranger to juvenile success in 2018. Plenty of positives to take from debut when behind a useful winner and 6L ahead of the fourth who has won since. Well drawn.
Looked a winner in waiting after inexperience saw him throw away a winning opportunity on his debut, before being edged out in a valuable York maiden. That form has been working out nicely and stable have won the last two renewals.
£30,000 breeze-up purchase by mudloving speedster Mayson out of a speedy dam who also won on soft ground. Stable having another good year with it's youngsters so worth noting in the market.
Has shown signs of promise but he is in a potentially hot race and he needs to step up considerably with the draw doing him no favours.
Belied odds of 50/1 on Newcastle debut but no explanation offered after underperforming on turf next time when 20L adrift of Stronsay.
Placed in two similar races over 5f when giving every indication she was ready for this longer trip. Has an awkward draw to overcome.
Dark Angel filly that cost 15,000 gns as a yearling. Half sister to multiple winners. Dam was a winner over 5f & 6f including the Group 1 July Cup.
Excelebration filly out of a dam who scored over 5f on debut for this yard. Stable not the force they were with this age group, but are a respectable 2-5 with runners in this contest.
£10,000 yearling by Kyllachy and related to plenty of winners including prolific AW winner Stand Guard. Represents a top owner and one to note in early trading.

Some interesting types line up for this contest and it is a race worth watching as it should produce plenty of future winners. Kevin Ryan has won the last two runnings and saddles one of the likely market leaders this time in Rathbone. Inexperience has seen him throw away winning opportunities in two hot races this summer and he should not remain a maiden for long. However, the easier underfoot conditions are a concern. Shallow Hal is bred to handle the ground and Preservation has a good pedigree. Richard Fahey holds a strong hand with Camber and KING OF TONGA. The former is bred for speed and soft ground, but the selection has the form and a plum draw so is marginally preferred.
- King Of Tonga
- Camber
