75-rated handicapper for trainer Robert Cowell for whom he won a Yarmouth handicap off a 6lb higher mark last June. Well held for David Marnane since and best watched on stable debut.
Stable in fine form right now boasting a 42% win and place strike rate in the last 14 days. Expected to improve on seasonal debut in May and worth a market check.
Modest 63-rated Flat handicapper for trainer Paul Midgley but won one stable debut when not unbacked in a Fairyhouse handicap over 6f. Another bold show likely off a 4lb higher mark.
Distance winner of a Sligo rated contest on yielding ground in May. Beaten but not disgraced since and entitled to make the shortlist here.
Sole win in 16 starts came in a Chepstow maiden in August 2016 when in the care of trainer Eve Johnson Houghton. Well held in three starts on turf this term and others hold stronger profiles.
Hints of promise in a number of starts last term and finished 5L behind Guanabara Bay in a Bellewstown claimer earlier this month. Looks up against it here.
Weakened late on when finishing fifth in an AW contest over 1m at Newcastle last month before a couple of encouraging performances in the space of two days at Fairyhouse and Leopardstown earlier this month. Not one to leave out of calculations.
Possibly missed the kick for home in a Killarney 1m handicap earlier this month following a number of solid and consistent displays since June. Could easily bounce back here.
Behind Caesar's Comet last time out in a Fairyhouse 6f handicap, narrowly headed inside the final furlong. Eye catching jockey back on board along with first-time cheekpieces to assist.
Behind Secret Memories at Leopardstown over this trip earlier this month on god to firm ground. Best form gives her a claim here.
Not a lot to shout about in a number of below-par starts since April and first time hood inconceivable to produce the required amount of development needed to play a role here.
Out of her depth running over 1m2f at Ballinrobe last month. Better than that display suggests and worth a market check dropping back in trip.
Seven-race maiden and yet to get in to the first three in four handicap starts. Difficult to see any light at the end of the tunnel just yet.
Forecasts
Caesar's Comet (9/4), Premier League (5/1), Mcguigan (6/1), A Likely Story (7/1), Secret Memories (15/2), Diable d'Or (10/1), Texas Radio (12/1), Magsmillie (16/1), Feisty Katerina (16/1), Very Smart (25/1), Colonel Paddy (33/1), Sally Gap (33/1), Wadood (50/1)
Michael Mulvany's PREMIER LEAGUE can get back to winning ways here following up a couple of solid runs at Bellewstown and Leopardstown earlier this month. The improving three-year-old may have to fight off the attentions of Caesar's Comet, a winner last time out at Fairyhouse, runner-up that day, A Likely Story and the genuine four-year-old filly Secret Memories.
- Premier League
- Caesar's Comet
- A Likely Story
