C&D winner who isn't really firing at the moment and looks to be just ticking over if that despite falling below his last winning mark. Despite the falling mark hasn't shown enough enthusiasm of late to be of interest here.
Last success came in claiming company and he's been beaten in that sphere since although he generally runs consistently (rare poor effort last time). Has never won in handicap company and the handicapper appears less than keen to ease him.
Judged on his three runs in minor events while he was gaining a mark he always looked the sort to do better in handicaps. Indeed, he showed improved form on his handicap debut over 1m (AW); upped 3lb for that effort more is expected here.
Took an age to win a race but finally did so at Brighton in June on quick ground (suited by the strong pace). Not in the same form next time (race not as strongly run) and now dons the blinkers for the first-time but kept to the same trip.
The effects of the blinkers may be starting to wear off now having won and finished second in them on his first two starts with them on although those runs did come over 1m. Tried over 7f last here he wasn't in the same form; more needed.
Found the drop to this trip more to his liking last time here scoring his second course win (first over C&D). That victory ended a long losing run and it did come off a lowly mark and he wouldn't be an obvious type to back that win up.

Forecasts
Roman Warrior (11/8), Wahaab (4/1), Carp Kid (9/2), Junoesque (5/1), Coachella (6/1), Mister Musicmaster (8/1), Living Leader (9/1)
Most of these are fairly exposed with a couple needing some help from the handicapper but that wouldn’t include ROMAN WARRIOR who looks as though he’s the type to progress in this sphere and build on his handicap debut off just 3lb higher. Junoesque requires a strongly-run race to be seen at his best in this discipline although the first-time blinkers should help in that direction. Living Leader isn’t an obvious one to back-up his C&D win but he does look to have stumbled on a weak contest again and may make the frame.
