Successful in this race last year his two subsequent runs were a little below-par and he was sold from his previous yard (Roger Varian) for 11,000 guineas. Now makes his debut for a new yard (2lb above his last winning mark) with a bit to prove.

Successful hurdler who made the switch to the Flat late in life winning his first three starts. Failed to win on the Flat after those initial wins (highly tried) but hasn't been in much form over hurdles either of late; can be a hard ride.

Recorded a hat-trick in 1m4f handicaps last year on turf/AW looking an improved performer for the move to that sphere. Shaped with a good deal of encouragement on his return on the AW (2m) and this trip could prove ideal for him.

A winner on the unusual surface at St Moritz in February over a shorter distance he's looked rather out of sorts in all of his runs since. Usually likes to race prominently he's slipped well below his last winning mark but more needed.

Verdict

Alan King’s Flat runners are always to be respected and he may well have another useful performer on his hands with JUST IN TIME who will have felt the benefits of his comeback run on the AW over a 2f further trip; this distance looks ideal. He had Petitioner well behind last time and that one has work to do to reverse the form and it may well be that the turf debutante Al Kout is the bigger danger as he still looks unexposed. West Drive won this last year but he has a little bit to prove now on his return for a new yard as does Great White Shark on ground this quick.
