Has run well here before over 6f. Steps up to this trip for first time today. Well below the form of last year's Hamilton win in all starts this season. Plenty to prove.

Has looked as though today could be the day on several occasions this season, but while competitive, he hasn't managed to add to his debut win from 2016. Trip and ground are fine and he enters calculations now tried in this sphere.

Handled this track well on his only previous visit. Ran well over the trip in a Redcar claimer two starts ago, when 4L third. Well held in a Beverley seller (7½f), but not ruled out of the frame again.

Has started at triple-figure prices and finished last in both races. Makes no appeal.

Forecasts

Sultan Baybars (5/4), Kody Ridge (3/1), Super D J (7/2), Dandy Highwayman (5/1), One For Brad (150/1), Orsay (200/1), No Civil Justice (300/1)

Verdict

Sultan Baybars is probably the pick at the weights here, but he has flattered to deceive on several occasions already this term and the suggestion is to take him on with KODY RIDGE, who has a bit of experience here and in a claimer, and should be better for this slight drop in trip. Dandy Highwayman and Super D J should be fighting to complete the frame.
  1. Kody Ridge
  2. Sultan Baybars
  3. Dandy Highwayman
