Produced some fair form in three bumpers but was well held on his Flat debut at Doncaster over this trip. 100/1 and beaten 12L on his second Flat start dropped in trip (1m2f) at Ripon; needs this run for a mark.
First run for this yard having had some wind surgery (previously with Charlie Appleby) and returning from a fair absence. Looks up against things here though and best watched on return having shown only modest form.

Frankel newcomer from a yard with a good record here out of a dam who was a 5f winner. Will need to live up to his pedigree to win on debut but well worth a market check.

Well found in the market when he made his debut at Ayr (1m2f, good/firm) last month but never really got involved making little impression. May well come on for that run but more needed to make an impression on his second start.

From a yard with a good record here was surprisingly made favourite for his second run after making a modest start to his career over 1m. Stepped up to this trip at Newbury he stayed on well and looks the sort to progress further; will stay further.

Well held on all his four starts with 1m the furthest he's tried but 16L the nearest he's got to a winner. Hard to fashion a case for him in novice company.
Useful pedigree (half-brother to numerous winners) but based on his two runs so far looks a slow burner. Showed more last time out at Sandown in a race which is proving good form (still green; not knocked about); type to improve again.

Has a pedigree that appeals but was very green on his two-year-old debut over a 1m and not seen again until last month when running to a similar level to his debut. Not knocked around on either start but never a threat; longer term project.

Showed some promise on her first start this year (2nd overall) at Beverley (1m2f, good/firm) looking as though there was more to come in greater stamina tests. Failed to build on that run though last time and may do better in handicaps over further.

Newcomer from a yard that are 0-10 in novice events in recent years by Sleeping Indian out of a dam that was a winner at up to 1m6f. Best watched on her debut.

High Chaparral filly who so far has looked a rather hard ride in her two starts (hooded both times) with both starts containing little promise. Never a threat last time and others make far more appeal.

Forecasts

M C Muldoon (4/5), Mister Ambassador (7/2), Formula One (8/1), Perpetrator (17/2), Whitlock (12/1), Blue Reflection (16/1), Imperial Court (16/1), Magic's Boy (50/1), Muftakker (100/1), Kitty's Cove (100/1), Pathway To Freedom (100/1), Ferney (100/1), Nunnery Lane (100/1)

Verdict

Not as much promise and appeal amongst the field as in the preceding novice on the card with the penalised M C MULDOON setting the standard after his second in a Longchamp Listed event last time having scored in taking style on his debut. Mister Ambassador is starting to look the sort who will prefer even further after his staying on effort at Newbury last time and he’s now fitted with cheekpieces to perk him up further. Formula One looks an interesting newcomer but will need to be useful to take this first-time out with both Blue Reflection and Perpetrator looking as though they can take another step forward in this.

  2. Mister Ambassador
  3. Perpetrator
