Useful dual purpose performer. Yet to win on AW but has been in good form on the Flat this campaign and he wasn't beaten far last time out at Doncaster. Ought to make his presence felt provided he handles the surface.

Not won since 2016 and while he's become remarkably well-handicapped on his old form, he's shown very little in recent times and he's been well beaten on four starts for this yard. Back up in trip.

Belatedly off the mark in Selling company at Leicester in May but has struggled in both his handicap starts since, including on debut for this yard last time. Shown very little in two previous AW runs and hard to fancy.

Won a Selling Handicap on Tapeta at Wolverhampton in April and followed up with a respectable effort in defeat but not in the same form when last seen. Her better efforts have all come on AW but she looks in need of relief from the handicapper.

Age: 5|  Weight: 9-10| J: Harrison Shaw(5)| T: D Thompson| OR:  54| C
16/1
Course winner who got his head back in front at Hamilton last time out. Step back up in trip would appear to be a negative though with all his better efforts coming over 1m2f or shorter and unplaced on four starts over further.

Soft ground winner over 1m at Ayr last October. Well held in two subsequent outings most recently over 1m on good-to-soft ground at Pontefract in April. Taking a marked step up in trip and must improve to defy this mark.

Still a maiden after six starts back in 2015 and can only be watched on her belated reappearance here with all her two better efforts coming in selling company.

Still a maiden after eight starts, has run okay in two outings on turf for this yard but he's probably going to need more relief from the handicapper before he gets his head back in front. Useful apprentice takes off 3lb.

Showed nothing in five starts for previous connections and well beaten 11th of 13 at Pontefract when last seen. Up in trip on yard debut and entitled to need the run.

Yet to win in 12 starts and she has disappointed on both her AW starts to date. Has been gradually stepping up in trip but seems to be making little difference and others are preferred on her seasonal reappearance.

Forecasts

Bill Cody (2/1), Burn Some Dust (9/4), Zig Zag (7/2), Calvinist (10/1), Highwayman (16/1), Sevilla (20/1), Barney George (25/1), Onda District (25/1), Mulsanne Chase (33/1), Coral Queen (50/1), Cool Run Girl (50/1)

Verdict

ZIG ZAG arrives in better form than the majority of his rivals and there's a suspicion he's still well-handicapped having been left on the same mark after a good second last time. Bill Cody has shown some improved form for his new yard and may be able to build on that here while Calvinist couldn't be ruled out if he returns to form from a much reduced handicap mark.
