Won and placed last autumn but disappointing in two starts this term and would probably appreciate softer ground than is forecast here. Wears cheekpieces for the first time.
Finished 7L second over 1m1f on seasonal debut at Carlisle (good-to-firm) in June. Weakened over 1m2f subsequently and this step up in trip isn't certain to suit.
Victorious over 1m2f on the AW in February and a couple of fair efforts in defeat since. Beaten 11L over 1m2f in a selling handicap last time and more needed if he's to take this contest.
Placed multiple times so far this year most recently when finishing runner-up in a first time tongue tie (retained) over this C&D last time out. Races off a 2lb higher mark and is one for the shortlist on this occasion.
Finished a head second over C&D on good ground early last month. Placed over hurdles subsequently and is a leading contender with the trip and forecast ground both in his favour.
Decent efforts in defeat over this trip so far this year and races off a mark 2lb lower than when finishing fifth at Beverley (1m4f, good-to-firm) last time out.
Improved on his seasonal debut when finishing seventh over an extended 1m4f at Newcastle last time out. Cheekpieces worn for the first time that day are retained.
Broke his maiden when winning by a head over C&D on good ground last time out. Improvement likely but has to defy a 5lb higher mark if he's to follow up on this occasion.
Maiden after ten starts and ran well when 2L third of six over 1m6f at Catterick (good) in a selling race early last month. Well beaten over 2m subsequently and drop in trip should suit on his return from a short break.
Yet to win in 11 starts and finished well beaten at Yarmouth (1m, good-to-firm) on his return from a break recently. wears cheekpieces for the first time stepping up markedly in distance.
