Has struggled to match her debut form in two subsequent outings and connections will be hoping that going into handicaps will produce some progress. Her mark looks rather harsh on what she's done so far though.

Some of his maiden form looks fair with the trip that he tried last time (1m4f) one that tested him far too much. Now given a second chance in handicaps with the blinkers going on for the first time and brought back 2f in trip.

Her form so far has proved rather modest and she still looked green last time even though that was her third start. That will have brought her on though and she bred to stay trips like this as she goes into handicaps for the first time.

Had offered something to work on in his first two starts (not knocked around in either) before finishing well held on his third run. Now has a mark and more expected going into handicaps back on turf stepping up in trip.

Similar to a few from this yard in that she showed progress for a longer trip having been handicapped over shorter. Easy to back on handicap debut she improved on her second start in this sphere (1m2f); that has given her something to build on here.

Forecasts

Ferrier (5/4), Player's Luck (5/2), Perfect Refuge (4/1), Fannie By Gaslight (9/1), Atomic Jack (10/1)

Verdict

No great surprise to see FERRIER making progress now that she is given a longer trip to operate off and with the headgear being used and she gives the impression that she is still quite nicely handicapped. Both Perfect Refuge and Player’s Luck are making their handicap debuts with both expected to progress stepping into this sphere having shown promise in their qualifying runs. Atomic Jack still looks to have a little too much to do off his mark and the same could be said of another newcomer to handicaps in the field Fannie By Gaslight.
  1. Ferrier
  2. Player's Luck
  3. Perfect Refuge
