Successful at Leicester last month and by no means disgraced off 4lb higher at Beverley. Tough task giving weight all round, but interesting to see how he reacts to eyeshields.
Won three times, including two in handicap company, over 7f last year. Favourite and eased when beaten over 1m on latest outing and return to his optimum trip looks a wise move.
Really good effort to win over this distance at York last time. Has been raised to a career-high mark, but is in great heart and has to be taken seriously.
Won twice in 6f handicaps last season, but is effective at this distance and shaped as though hitting top form when second at Newmarket last time. Each-way chance off 1lb higher.
Solid efforts in three starts this year. All three wins have come over 6f, however, and this specialist's trip may find him out again.
Promising when trained in France by Alain de Royer Dupre and produced good first effort for this stable when fourth of 16 at Leicester. Entitled to improve for the run and is 1lb lower.
Lightly-raced colt who was well held on his first handicap outing at Newmarket. Down 2lb and is interesting in first-time blinkers with a positive jockey booking.
Long time since he got his head in front, but has dropped to a fair handicap mark. Did too much from the front at Newmarket last time and is not out of it if returning to the form of his close fifth at Kempton in May.
Progressive sort who has been inching up the weights, but has few miles on the clock. Shrewd handler pitches him into his toughest assignment so far.
Sound efforts in maiden/novice company on last two starts. Opening handicap mark looks fair and he is one to note if the market speaks in his favour.
Won a Leicester claimer for Archie Watson in May and first run for current trainer saw him well held in a Newmarket handicap. Down 2lb, but does not appeal as a likely winner of a competitive race.
Off the mark at the fifth attempt when winning a 6f handicap off 5lb lower at Newmarket last month. Strong at the finish that day, he should relish this step up in trip and jockey booking only increases confidence.
Not at his best last time, but previous run at Lingfield off 7lb higher was solid. Last win came in this contest last year off 6lb higher so he has strong claims if near his best.
Blinkered for the first time when winning at Kempton over 7f on debut for this stable. Well beaten in two susbsequent starts over 1m so the return to this trip is a plus. Headgear is left off.

A competitive finale which can go to PREVENT, who looked progressive when winning over 6f last time and should proved suited to this longer trip. Last year's winner, Cricklewood Green, would be a big threat if returning to his best, while Warsaw Road will be suited by this return to 7f and arguments can be put forward for the likes of Dark Intention, Angel Of Darkness, Zeyzoun and Plunger. Perfect Hustler is an interesting contender for his canny trainer.
- Prevent
- Warsaw Road
- Zeyzoun
