Won twice last season, a Redcar maiden (1m2f) and then a Carlisle handicap (1m6f, soft) from 1lb higher. Has not quite hit those heights since, but is on a very competitive mark and is unexposed over this trip. Claims.
Thorough stayer who scored over a similar trip twice at Newcastle earlier in the year. 3lb higher than the more recent of those and ran well from this mark in a 2L defeat at Musselburgh last time. Can go close.
His turf win came over 1m2f in 2016. Has twice won at Newcastle over 1m4½f since, the more recent about a year ago from 1lb lower. Stays this far but looks in need of a favour from the handicapper.
Loves it here, where he has three C&D wins to his name, plus two over hurdles. Has won on fast ground, though good is ideal. Seeking a hat-trick of C&D and up another 6lb this time. Another career best probably needed, but not ruled out.
Bumper and 1m6f (heavy) Flat winner in Ireland. Not beaten far from this mark at Carlisle last time. More needed for the win, but has each-way claims.
Seems to prefer nearby Ripon to anywhere else. Consistent performer who stays well. Thoroughly exposed, but showed last time that he can be competitive from this mark and can again go well.
Best effort so far was in a soft ground three-runner contest at Yarmouth (1m3½f) in May. Tried to make all on handicap debut at Lingfield (1m4f, AW) two starts ago. Not sure he will get this trip.
