Fifth foal by Alhebayeb out of the sprint maiden Simply Topping. Resold for 35,000 gns as a yearling. Slowly away on debut and never really involved. Needs to have improved plenty for that experience.
Showed improved form from first to second run when staying on all the way to the line over 5f at Down Royal two weeks ago. Step up to this trip looks a good idea and more improvement likely.
Gelded son of No Nay Never. 50/1 and well down the field on debut last month. Needs to take a major step forward on that form to be involved here.
Dabirsim filly that fetched €58,000 as a yearling but went unsold at €45,000 as a two-year-old. Related to several winners and dam was Listed placed in Germany.
Requinto colt who's price rose from €15,000 as a foal to €30,000 as a yearling. Dam was average and best form came on the AW. Market a good guide on debut.
Camelot filly that cost €50,000 as a yearling. Dam was a winning sprinter over 5f & 6f. Yard 5/27 with their juveniles so far this year and market will be a good guide.
Gelding by Born To Sea out of a One Cool Cat mare related to multiple winners. Big prices and well beaten on two starts so far. Handicaps likely to suit on the back of this
40,000 daughter of Acclamation out of a winning miler. Green and in need of the experience when well down the filed on debut. Likely to do better.
Sepoy filly, cost €40,000 as a yearling. Half-sister to two winning sprinters. Sent off favourite on debut when shaping well. Improved on that effort at Fairyhouse over this trip next time and should do better still.
Dandy Man filly purchased for €11,000 at the sales as a yearling. Sent off at 50/1 for debut and didn't show a great deal. Should come on for that experience and better expected.
Modest €14,000 buy as a yearling by Dandy Man out of a Galileo mare. Shown vert little on two starts so far and similar story on the cards here.
Daughter of Roderic O'Connor purchased for €1,500 as a yearling last September. Slowly away on debut and always up against it, could improve on that.
Forecasts
Sparkle'n'joy (7/4), Sakura (9/2), Olay Power (11/2), Rest Bay (9/1), Jarrocho (11/1), Dandy Belle (12/1), Calling Time (14/1), Social Imposer (20/1), Hammersmith (25/1), Rhosgobel (25/1), Lord Rapscallion (33/1), Sea The Night (50/1)
As always the market should be a pretty good guide to expectations with this type of contest. Sakura is a newcomer to note and a market check is needed. Of those with experience Rest Bay and Sparkle'n'joy make some appeal. We will take a chance on a big jump forward from OLAY POWER who shaped with a good deal of promise on debut.
- Olay Power
- Sparkle'n'joy
- Rest Bay
